Another lovely day. I took time out this morning to sign in to my building society account and found a few little saver accounts on a ridiculously low interest rate. 0.1% & 0.05% so I am now the owner of a shiny new ISA account at a much more respectable 3%Have transferred all my bits and bobs in and have £599.28.
LBM April 2011 £4906

Clothes Challenge 2011 £60.24/£200

Do I need it? Can I afford it? Is it cheaper elsewhere?0 -
Well that didn't last long. Martins newsletter today kindly reminded me that it is silly having money sat in the bank earning 3% ifyou have debt getting charged at 18%. So not quite bringing myself to empty the account I have sent £400 of to the credit card.:(LBM April 2011 £4906

Ok so major developments today. I have managed to borrow interest free what I needed to clear the card. So all scheduled payments are being redirected to my ISA to payback the debt in a lump sum at the end of the year :j So relieved to not be wasting money on interest anymoreLBM April 2011 £4906

Woken this morning with a huge weight of me, shame the day doesn't suit my mood. Very wet and grey.
Going to have to recount my sleeps I think as my money forecast is now telling me I'll be debt free by the 10th Dec! :j
Though it'll take to 10th April to reimburse my savings. Mmm going to see if I can whittle that down a bit would like to be all done by the end of the financial year. It's getting a bit addictive this saving lark, wish I'd gotten in to it years agoLBM April 2011 £4906

Sobering thought, If I'd carried on as I was when I had LBM it would have taken me another 2 years and cost £888 in interest to clear my cards, presuming I didn't put anything else on them (highly unlikely as I was then)
If I carry on as I am now doing by the same date I'll have over £11,000 savings :money:LBM April 2011 £4906
