Unoffical Existing Customer Balance Transfers

I'm going to have zero balance on my Virgin card sometime next month, due to a balance transfer deal from another of my cards. I was hoping to ring them up for a balance transfer deal for my 3rd card. If I manage that all my CC debt will be on lower or 0% rates: good news.
Do people think I'm likely to get an offer from them if I ring up soon after having 0 balance? I was going to wait until I get 0 balance in writing on a statement, and play the 'I'd like to close the account' card. What do you guys think?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Worth a try but I failed. Just tried to get a better deal on my HSBC mastercard. My 0% came to an end this month and they offered me 7.9%. I rand customer services and said I would leave unless they reduced the new rate as new customers were offered 2.9%. They didn't even meet me half way or shave a bit off to show willing. Ho hum. I'm off elsewhere.
Feeling the pinch but trying to bring down that mortgage - thank heavens for MSE.com!

My 0% deal ended last month and was paid up in full. Just thought I'd try a call. Bless them! Another 0% till Jan 09 with a £50 capped fee!! "Oh I was hoping to be able to transfer £15k, is there any chance of looking at my credit limit?" "No probs sir. £16k OK?" !!!
Have just 'phoned back and with a bit of chat managed to get £15.5k transfered to Egg Money (to go through the savings account to get cashback) and thence to my offset mortgage! Oh happy day!
Sorry if I'm crowing but I had to tell someone! :j0 -

I have had two good days with my cards.
Got 5.9% for LOB with three of my Halifax cards and then yesterday got another 10Months 0% with MBNA.
Whats happening about this credit crunch? The card companies just keep giving us all good deals.
Get in there...:oCurrent Debt £38,000:o

And I've just had 2 bad days - turned down by Sainsbury and Tesco. Now waiting interminably for verdict on wife's Virgin application.
I suppose the problem is simply too much credit and/or debt (all at 0%, of course). Looks like I'm going to have to cash some instant access ISAs, but I'm hoping
not to have to clear too much debt this year.
Not heard of Virgin Am Ex White before. I've already got a Virgin card for 0% on purchases - does this prevent me going for this one? However hard up you are, never accept loans from your friends. Just gifts0
