Can anyone tell me if barclaycard are still offering low LOB transfers to existing customers with empty balances?I need to clear 6k from an mbna with a 0% deal due to expire in June. I have a high enough credit limit on the barclaycard if I transfer what's there out to offers on other cards.Thanks0

Best is call and clarify and note the date and name of the person u speak to. I would expect your previous bt would revert to standard rate and the new bt would be at 0%. but not sure as the way I understood MBNA worked was only once the BT period ended did the next BT period started. infact thats what the lady said in mid march when i called for new offers(my BT was ending end of march). She called back after my BT period ended with a new offer. She had mentioned that any BT i did at that time would end along with the old one and hence she would need to call me back.
but they did start a new purchase offer at 0%.
In the words of my old Ops Director (an American) "Doesn't get bedda 'an that".
Just called MBNA Customer Services and spoke to Nick who confirmed that actually, the entire debt was now due on 19 December. That will mean the initial £6k will have been 0% for 18 months (with a 3% fee) and the additional £10k at 0% for 9 months. Very happy. Very very happy. They don't do that normally - maybe an over exuberant sales guy originally but hey ho.

Like a previous member I also have an offer from Barclaycard for a LOB transfer but the rate is 6.9% but with no fees. Does anybody know if you are obliged to spend - This was one of their previous requirements but I can't see any mention of this in their T & C's.
I also think they have a cap on the amount you can transfer £5K I think but it depends on your credit limit.
Does anybody know if there are any restrictions on transferring balances from other card holders i.e wife?
Thanks.0 -

I have a 6.9% LOB offer from Barclaycard. There are no fees and there's no obligation to spend.
That said, it's not uncommon for lenders to offer various different deals at one and the same time. Irrespective of what anyone tells you here, it's your Ts & Cs which countI also think they have a cap on the amount you can transfer £5K I think, but it depends on your credit limit.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
