Not the best offer, but thats the first time I've heard any sort of existing customer offer from Nationwide!
Nationwide normally do not, but sometimes on a bluemoon day they do...around 12-15 months back they had given OH a similar offer in the post. They seem to want to not look like a sore thumb by not offering anything compared to others so they make an offer "you can refuse".!!!:beer::beer:0 -

Anyone got an asda card? I used to get offers on the back of my statements, but as I've no balance I dont get statements, so no new offers. They used to offer quite good deals.0

Regular use and payment helps credit rating. Register to vote and so on, some cards might be worth trying first but most are cherry picking the best payers/riskshampshirebabe wrote: »Anyone got an asda card? Sounds like an excuse to use the card just briefly every now and again, so long as you are disciplined about it0 -

For the first time EVER in my many years with Barclaycard, I don't have an existing customer balance transfer offer on my account .
Not that I want/need it at the moment, I just look out of curiosity occasionally when I log in to check the account. Oddly, my credit file is probably in the best shape it's ever been at the moment :undecided.
Signs of credit being harder to get again maybe?0 -

I would suggest call halifax and ask if they do money transfer. Sometimes they do allow it. I have done a money transfer with halifax to my current account. i.e. they will allow you to move money in to your current account and the credit card will have the balance as a promo(similar to BT but to currennt acct). Then you can use this money to pay halifax the costly debt.
e.g. As you have a limit of 14k and balance of 4k you woll be allowed (I think) 95% of the 10k to be transferred. so if they allow a money transfer you can say transfer 4k to your current account. then this 4k will be cash in your current acct and will show up as outstanding balance at 0% on your halifax card along with the 4k @16.9%
Use the 4k in your current acct to repay halifax and this would go towards costliest debt and will clear your 16.9% debt. The 2.2k on mbna is anyway 0% upto july 2013 which is more than 10 months.
try your luck, call them up and if they offer it great.
If that adds up then it's potentially awesome news...0
