I ended up closing my Nationwide card a year or so ago as they never offered me anything, although I'd had the card for about 3 years. Perhaps I used it too regularly?

Have just closed mine too, not a sniff of an offer in 3 years and they didn't even try to retain me when I said I was closing to reduce available credit so I could chase a better offer lol

Hah! Same for me. They just said, "Yes, I can do that for you right now." *tappety click click tappety*. "That's done; your account is closed."

I was quite surprised they didn't even put me through to customer retention. Perhaps they do not like having customers??!

I was told today that their 0% deals are a "once a lifetime" offer therefore you won't be offered any deals or allowed to apply for any future offers with them. Wish I'd closed the card years ago had I known that, especially as it no longer has any value for using it abroad.

Barclaycard have withdrawn their 0% BT for 6mths and are instead offering 5.9% until September 2012. Presumably this is because I have a 0% deal ending this month so far more likely to take up a new offer this month than last!

    Hi,

Does anyone know if tesco give out offers very often? Or is the only way to cancel the card and re-apply in 6-8 months?

    Cheers
  • I used to get 7.9% life of balance offers on a regular basis.

Haven't had one for 18 months!
