    I ordered on 8th and had delivery today. Some of the stuff is to be posted to Ireland. Have I missed last post???
  • I (unexpectedly!) got some of my order today. Reading some of the posts on here would suggest that the other items are now out of stock and I won't get them? :confused: :mad: I had a cardi on my order for my daughter to wear over her party dress on xmas day - she'll just have to be cold now, I won't be able to get to the shops before the big day. Some of the other missing items were xmas presents too :(

    I didn't have an invoice with the parcel today and my order status online is still sitting at ready to pick so I've no idea whether I should try to rearrange my time a bit so I can get to the shops :confused:
  • I got mine today too. I actually went out to Adams on Sunday and bought clothes to replace the ones in my order. Get to take them back now and feel all rich!! I got 50% on line and 30% off in store so I definatley got the best deal.
    RedTiger, get another one and keep the receipt. Adams are offering free returns (just for this !!!! up) so you can't lose.

  • I called Adams last night, well rather my husband did, and he got to speak to mr.Pound himself who sorted the problem out personally. He said EVERY order was sent out they worked overtime to get everything out and if some orders have slipped through and not been fulfilled then he is really sorry and you know what he did

    HE PICKED THEN DELIVERED ME MY ORDER HIMSELF!!

    Got the shock of my life standing there half asleep this morning
    He had been driving since 5am

    WHAT A MAN :)

    Now come on.. Half of my order (all my thomas stuff to be precise) wasnt there LOL BUT its not his fault the computers went down what a shame and he still had the care to do that for me. I think customer service is the most important thing and I know they tried their best for me. I know alot of you are annoyed and this is fully understandable but do remember that Adams is a relatively new site and christmas is busy enough without the added pressure of us MSE'ers crowding the site for a bargain when the systems all went down. I feel really sorry for the staff.

    I hope you all get your parcels today i really do guys

  • I was really shocked
    I felt really bad for you kool-mumma and everyone else who couldnt get their orders. I can understand why everyone was getting so stressed, I was. Its only clothes but to some of us they was a chance to give our kids a luxury that otherwise we cant afford or just a chance to bulk out the sack that they expect to be full.

    I just also feel bad for the staff that WERE trying their hardest that had to make up for all these errors be them human or technical. I imagine them excitedly waiting for closing time to go shop and be with their kids then be told they have got to stay over to get some orders out. Some of us were lied to, myself for one. I was told without even looking at my order that it was dispatched and it'd be here in time and this was obviously to get me off the phone but maybe these are christmas temps or just staff that have received 100000 calls and can't take no more LOL

    But WOW the power of MSE hey!! And WOW Mr Pound what a guy!!

    Now i Need to get over the embarrassment of me rushing out of bed answering the door with hardly anything on and my hair a mess.

    Most impressive, that is above and beyond the call of duty! I have had similar things happen to me before with delayed or out of stock orders and companies just couldn't have cared less so Well done Mr Pound!!
  • Hi - Update: received my order late yesterday - only 1 item missing (will not receive it as they had previously said that it was wrong on computer systems) - so glad that I got it gave all items to son (was gonna put a couple of items away for xmas) - I hope everyone else gets theirs by xmas - wishing all a very merry xmas & happy new year.
