HI All... I am new to this forum.. just discovered it last week.. and hve read almost the entire way though it.. it was some read!! Very helpful.
I have been MS'ing for almost a year now - I work full time - so I try to fit in as many assignments in the evenings and at weekends!
I am registered for 5 companies and so approx 3/4 assignments a week!
I am from Northern Ireland - Is there any other MS'er's out there is this area - would be good to get an insight into what companys they find good - as not many offer Northern Ireland assignments!
Thanks!:j0 -

Can you sync your calendars?
I've got an Android phone and the phone calendar, Google calendar and Outlook calendar all sync with each other, so if I put something in the phone calendar it ends up on my PC and vice versa. Here I go again on my own....0 -

For most overt audits at other s/markets, I simply sign in on arrival and get a visitor badge if they have them and no questions asked by any one then.
Admittedly I haven't seen the brief for the Gr ones, as I rarely do jobs for them now as the fees seem so low for what they want, but if the brief is for an overt audit not sure why you would take a trolley to push round as that would suggest a covert element is also expected.
I usually just walk in do what im there to do and get out again asap on to the next job, but that just me.
It’s "challenged" because you don’t sign in or introduce yourself you simply get on with it. If you sign in and tell them what you’re going to do they would have time to “change” the outcome as it would only take a couple of minutes. If a colleague "challenges" you then you tell them what you’re doing, if they don’t then you just leave. There is absolutely no need to be sneaky in anyway.
I accept it can sometime be easier to be semi covert though but with these it makes very little difference IMO.
As for the GR being too low paid to bother with, I don’t see it that way at all, these take 5 minutes to do and another 5 minutes for the report. I find most of GR’s jobs to be the same. I would do them all day every day and make a good living from it if I could.
It’s been said many times before on here, everyone has an opinion as to which companies and jobs are the best. None are right or wrong it’s whatever suits the person0 -

I have tried this with google calendar but it seemed to be a pain in the £%$^ to do so I did not bother again. Like most I have a spreadsheet so just text myself the details and update it later.0 -
Hi Guys
Now that Catalyst pay via paypal are they paying any quicker? Did a couple of jobs last weekend and could do with the extra cash quicklyBoredupnorth wrote: »You will get it through paypal on the 25th October a few days earlier than by cheque and a few quid lighter when paypal have had their cut!
I got paid by Paypal the first time, saw they had taken fees, so went into my Catalyst profile and unchecked the Paypal box. They now pay me the full amount by cheque - was paid this week just gone for a job done at the end of July :T:T:TWe’ve had to remove your signature. Its one of the advantages of Android I guess, it will interact with a Microsoft product. No chance of apple ever doing that properly!. I know I can do it in a roundabout sort of way but just seems like a lot of messing about with an Iphone when all I am going to do is transfer it to my tracker spread sheet anyway.0 -
Evening All
I'm back from the land of no signal (Wales).
Have I missed anything????
Going to have to be quiet from now on. Been moved at work and looks like I might actually have to work. I currently spend my time 50% normal work and 50% "My" work (I just need to be there, when there's nothing to do, cannot do anything).
Gonna be a shock to the system (and the money). Will loose a little bit. Need to get more organised!!
Oh, and for those of you out there who suffer from an allergic reaction to pressing the 'thank you' button on the alerts thread. I've just scrolled through 2 pages (a weeks worth) and pressed thanks, It took me all of 60 seconds :eek:I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

Hi sweetie. Thought you had disappeared off the face of the earth. Hope you enjoy your new job. I might actually get to do some shops if you don't pinch them all. LOL. Just joking.
I always thank the alerts that I find useful, and I think most people do too. I don't thank posts if they are for companies I don't work for though.0
