Take the list and a clipboard. Walk the checkouts and do the count, if you get challenge it does not matter they let you get on with it as they know what it's about. I have done loads of these and only been challenged twice, there is a question on it in the report and the brief tells you what to say if you get challenged. All in they take 5 minutes to do

I can now sleep easy! :)

Could I ask those who have done the GR checkout jobs some advice please. I'm a bit confused whether I should take the checklist with me? The way I read the brief you did but then it's not exactly covert is it! I'm planning on going at what I think will be a quiet time (famous last words!). Cheers:)

Just walk along with the list folded in half as if it's a shopping list and you're ticking things off. I find a trolley with a few things in it deflects any attention.

I tend to do these first thing in the morning after the acceptable time.

Agreed, first thing or late on in the window. I made the mistake of doing St Rollox on Saturday afternoon. I still have the scars!

Agree first thing is the best time to do these. My local one has 47 checkouts but only 6 open first thing in the morning. You can stand in one spot and do the count :j Even better is its GR not RE so I dont even need to tell them how it made me feel!

tbh i find it easier when they are all open as no arsing around looking for the signs! mine never has more than 3 ppl in queue so i just walk down ticking the box as i gpo, usually always the first one :)

  • Anyone any idea the last date for the spicy GR shop, needing a small purchase. I have it due today, but am fast running out of time!
    Many thanks
