My beautiful daughter, Ania (weighed 6lbs 15 1/2 oz) was born today at 12:57pm! I'm so so proud of my fiancee who was wonderful throughout labour. They're both doing well but are in hospital overnight so i'm home alone tonight - a very strange feeling!0 -

I've just got back from the cinema - watched Bridesmaids, funny film but no storyline as such so am not entirely sure what happened. Very uncomfortable sitting in the seat for so long, I did have the urge to rest my swollen cankles on the person in front of me's head - but I thought he wouldn't be too impressed!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

Supermaiden- My DH was horrified recently to come home and find me attempting an oil change. I say attempting as the filter in mine's awkwardly placed, and with a lowered front, bump would only let me go under so far......
I hope the work your car needs done isn't terribly substantial, but at that price, I'm guessing engine or structure.
I'm blind in one eye and dislike people standing on that side unless I know/trust them well enough- even then I'm not always okay with it. The last few days I've started a few times when something is closer than I think, and I've tripped over my boss's feet a couple of times.....and the oven (still an impressive purple black bruise from that), the dogs, the doorframes, my feet- I'd probably be best strapped into a chair until baby is born.
SDH- hopefully not long now- thinking of you! Good luck, and the little one will be here soon....
Oh, I'm sorry- Only just read back.... Mrsspendalot, gorgeous baby- lovely photo! Madbird, congratulations! I had noticed photos but they didn't register with me for a second...0 -
Mrs S and Madbird - thanks so much for sharing the pics. Both boys are so gorgeous I can't wait for mine now!!
Amfodyndad - glad she didn't make you wait too long! Congrats and hope they are both doing!
SDH - no tips I'm afraid. I went 2 weeks over with both my boys. No amount of curry, pineapple, walks, sex etc would shift them! Hope it starts for you soon - do you have an induction date?Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

I'm starting to seriously overheat. I've had to take my ring off as my fingers are swelling a bit and even my feet are getting puffy
My DD was born in January so i didn't suffer from the heat last time. And I've still got another 3 months to go. Here in Northern Ireland it's only about 20 degrees, don't know how all the pregnant mums in the south of England (and other hot places) are managing.First Baby born January 2007
Second Baby born September 2011 :j0
