Supermaiden, don't worry about the MOT and the car- things will sort themselves out, they always do. I've winged cars through before, crossing my fingers that they pass..... Get teary with a mechanic and see if he/she will look at it for free.. I've never done the teary route, but I've had my cars diagnosed, fixed, welded and tested for free before, just by smiling nicely (and occasionally, a low cut top- a big chest is useful).
SureStart- sorry to hear about that..... I've been wondering who's eligable and who isn't, so may check it later.
Fell over the oven yestarday- how's that for a feat? It's fixed flush with the other floor units in the kitchen- I'm in trouble if I encounter a coffee table lurking menacingly in the centre of the room... I'm my own worst enemy. A massive bruise right on the back of my knee, so I walk a little like Worzel Gummidge, and it must have been on- mildly burned from my thigh to my shin. No worse than mild sunburn, so no real harm!
I've been itchy as mad ever since- my entire body.... will have a cool bath tonight I think!0 -
No, this is our first.
Its disappointing but what you dont have you cant miss, right? So nevermind, just would have been real handy to have right now.
I was wondering how people know they are "getting ready" for labour? I know there are things like back pain, losing plug and special poos lol, all sounds so lovely lol.Im not sure Ive had anything yet apart from back pain after Ive been out walking. Im not wanting to rush him out but Im a bit of a worrier so with us now having to travel a longer distance to a busy city its making me nervous about going into labour and how soon to leave and how will I know its the real deal and not just braxtons. Its not too bad at the minute as husband is home for a week but when he isnt here and I have to phone him I want to make sure Im definitely having the real deal so to speak!

supermaiden don't looose hope on the grant. your prob not eligable now, but once you have had the baby and your tax credits award has been granted then your be entitled.
wiht our first child i was told by midwife not to apply until after baby is born. she was born end oct, i filled out forms prob end of nov by time i had tax credits etc and then a couple weeks later they sent me a giro check thingy, i went to post office to cash them. i know of loads who were rejected while preg with first but recived it once baby was born ( had to fill out form again tho )0 -
Thanks jcr, that makes me feel better

I haven't weighed myself as I know I've put on quite a bit. The Doctor weighs me in kg, which are meaningless to me, tho she did comment that i seemed to have put on a lot of weight very quickly. My bump is huge this time so I'm not worrying. Apart from the daily helpings of ice-cream and chocolate, i eat quite healthly
First Baby born January 2007
Second Baby born September 2011 :j0 -
Not sure what I have gained with my pregnancy. Have gone up a couple of clothes sizes though to accommodate bump. Have definitely put weight on my bum and thighs as my undies are all getting too tight, how annoying lol! Will have to try and weigh myself somewhere (we dont have scales lol) as I havent been weighed since my booking appointment. Will be 39 weeks on Monday..:j0

puzzled Still no wages but I've been assured that they will be in today - time will tell!
As for toenails - last time I painted mine I nearly passed out am giving up on doing them myself and will get one of my friends to do them over the weekend methinks. I did ask OH and he said he would do it but I can imagine the mess he'll make so it's probably easier to get someone else to do them!
supermaiden I was told not to bother applying for the surestart grant until baby is here as I won't get CTC until then so should be eligible then. Hope so - even though I have everything for baby now it would be a welcome little addition to put away for when we need to buy a highchair etc.
I weighed myself the other day in Boots and have put on 2 and 1/2 stone since my booking in appointment. Hopefully at least a stone will go straight away when baby is born and as for the rest of it - well it took me this long to put it on so not going to break my back trying to get back into my jeans too quickly!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
The MW who did my booking added 2kg on anyway by looking at the scales from the side.. so while that made me obese
it also meant I could gain an extra 2kg before being even fatter than I was already
Doesn't stop me feeling like a big fat unattractive heifer though. I think I have gained about 1 stone so far at 25 weeksLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
