I'm not weighing myself - have a phobia about it at the best of times. I got weighed at booking in appt but it was the week after Christmas !!!!!! so was huuuuuuuuuge following a month of Christmas eating so not a true reflection of things IMO
I might force myself to get weighed right at the end just to see what I've put on but really really don't want to know! But saying that since giving up booze and having cravings for fruit and salad throughout I have probably never been healthier so could be a pleasant surprise :rotfl:
Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
Its been such a long time since I painted my toe nails, or even my fingernails lol as cant wear it at work when working with food so its a big no no on the hands. And toes well I had ingrowing toenails growing up so dont have every nail lol so was a waste of time trying as it just came off!:j0

I could happily eat 6 cooked dinners a day.. no pleasant surprise weight-wise for me lol
Anyway.. I have just pee'd off 3 maybe 4 MW's.. I cancelled the appointment I told them I didn't want them to book.. it is for the 27th so plenty of notice... they whinged about having bloods done and I said I haven't got the results of the last lot yet so they are fine, the children also finish school the 21st/22nd so I can't lug them with me.. it is also not in walking distance now they shut the place behind my house.. and above all that... I don't want to go..
I said if I want to see someone I have the numbers and am quite capable of ringing (when I am knocking at deaths door lol)
Anyway.. I am still feeling very down and droopy but do feel better without that appointment hanging over me. I do wonder why I have to speak to 3 people and they speak to others away from the phone just to cancel an appointment.. I did say you can either cancel it or have a wasted appointment because I won't be coming.
*sits and waits for the call back to whine*LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
PP hope they dont whine at you too much - i have to go to the hospital to have bloods done so i always tell them no point in making me an appointment with the nurse but there is always one who wants to "try" and see what happens - its not like i enjoy getting blood taken from the back of my hand!
i need to cut my nails more than anything, might psych myself up and do it tomorrowAll this extra hair and nail growth is not pretty, my whole belly seems to be covered in downy hair - thankfully i am fair so its not too noticable to OH.
Car failed the MOT - £300 to get it through so thats my bonus gone this month - i am glad we have the cash there, but was hoping we would use that to clear the last of the CC since i only have 2 more months of bonus payments before maternity but we will get there.
not feeling sick any more at all so am guessing it is definatley MS back with vengence.
Oh, and as for weighing, 2 weeks ago i was 2stone up on pre baby weight, midwife doesnt weigh me, ever! so i am still weekly weighing on the scales at home, am going to brave it tomorrow but kinda expect to be hitting 2 1/2 stone on with 10 weeks to go. Ironically today bump feels tiny despite the fatness i felt yesterday ...0 -
Well, I feel huge. No idea what I weigh, though had checked a couple of weeks ago and was lower than my pre-preg weight. Must do when I get home. Thing is- though I'm not suffering from MS (Luckily!) I just don't feel terribly inclined towards food a lot- my interest in it is very low... I feel bloated and huge today, though when I look back, I've had 2 rounds of toast, a fruit bun and a packet of crisps- and 2 litres of water! Not a typical eating day for me- I'm normally reasonably healthy.0

I am very good at giving blood... and I don't mind doing it at all.. what I do mind it them not sending in my physio referrals, hospital referrals and not telling me the results of said bloods.
I am just not very good at 'doing as I am told' .. they said oh we will remake the appointment.. I said don't bother I'll only have to ring and cancel that one too! Then the woman on the phone had a chicken and asked the other person behind her what to do.. I think it might well be one of the MW's I have seen and she said just cancel it.. so she did .. I'll get a consultant appointment through next
I can't stand the waste of time the appointments are.. 2 hours out of my day to be told my kidneys aren't working at 100%, my Bp is sky rocketing (because they wind me up) and that I am fat... thanks for that.. now tell me something I don't know!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
This thread moves so fast I can't keep up!
Anyway, I have a GTT test in about 2 weeks. Is it as painfully boring as it sounds?
I am not high risk in any way, although I think they are just being careful after last time. Do I really need to go?0 -

Do you think you need to go?
Would it put your mind at rest a little bit?
I've never had one so not much use on the boring advice. It does seem some areas are sending everyone regardless of whether they may have it or not.. shame they don't think the same about Strep B!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've got my GTT on Wednesday because of high BMI - hubby does it regularly as he's Type 2. I'm doing it so they can obviously treat if I have got it - diabetes can have awful side effects (blindness, nerve damage etc) so I'm not taking the risk for the sake of 2.5 hours of reading in a waiting room!
