Congratulations Mrs S - so happy your LO arrived safe and sound.xx

Amfodyndad - how are things progressing with you today?

Well I had my interview at work yesterday - 2 hours and it was honestly the worst thing ever. The boss is a t**t and I highly doubt I have got the job but nothing less than I was expecting. Bring on the redundancy pay now :D

Got my NHS parenting craft classes this afternoon - slightly nervous about them but not really sure why. Will let you know how it goes.

Loving the bump pics. WIP is very neat but probably only just slightly smaller than I am now at 33 weeks - does this mean I am small? (that'll be a first lol :rotfl:).
Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T

You never know Clarieloo, stay positive!

Things have slowed down considerably! I fear pigpen may be right and we're in for the long slow labour. OH slept through the night and didn't have any contractions so another day of walking/spicy food/ball bouncing for her.

    Sorry :o:o

I was hoping you'd prove me wrong.. I know it is so demoralising and distressing when they say it might be it.

It is also very normal to be 2cm dilated towards the end of pregnancy. More common if it is not your first, but even with your first it is normal.

Winnie.. my bump is probably about the same size as yours.. and this is smaller than most of my others!!!!!!!

    Afternoon all!

Am annoyed today, my wages are due to go in (last day of the month) and there is nothing in my account. Have rung my boss but no answer - last thing I need is to be messed around at the moment so I am feeling murderous!

Also, Im starving but there is nothing here that I fancy - someone feed me!:)

WIP - OMG! I'm 26 weeks and although I thought I looked pregnant, I don't have a bump at all compared to yours - mine just looks like the flab I usually carry round! :(

I suspect I'm this big because I have absolutely no functioning muscles to keep bubs tucked in! Either that or he's just fighting his way past any resistance, he certainly makes the most of his space!

It probably means that I'm huge lol :rotfl:

I wasn't much bigger than this at term with DS1!

Well midwife went ok I guess, feels like a bit of a waste of time really although I did get to hear his very strong and steady heartbeat :) had a student midwife too this time who seems very nice but got told off when she tried to measure me as apparently they don't measure until 28weeks?!? Can't honestly see what the problem with that would be but hey ho. She also said that if I get no improvement SPD wise they may well induce me early so I'm seeing the consultant at 36weeks with that in mind.

Sorry to hear you're so down Skinty :( it must be horrible having to deal with everything on your own. Do you have any other family nearby? Or a date when hubby might be home?

Keeping my fingers crossed for you and OH Amfodyndad :)

Alison wow your MIL must think you are psychic to know whether baby will arrive early ... how does your OH feel about her heading off so close to the birth?

Sparkle, He's a bit cross with her, but hey ho... Main thing is my own parents will be around. Mum wouldn't dream of booking a holiday at that time. Thank goodness, as I'll need them to look after DD during labour etc.

    Big hug to Skint-Catt.

Debbski - I would suggest waiting til after baby arrives before buying much more. Ii was given loads of vouchers (Boots, next, mothercare) and received lots of clothes. I ended up exchanging many of them as they were either the wrong season(summer clothes when DD would be fitting them in winter), duplicates, or too many for 3-6 months.

Thanks both - I do see him at weekends, but we're currently living with respective parents anyway as we're 'between' houses. His bosses keep saying they'll send him back to the local office but they've never made any move to actually do it. It's costing them a fortune to fly him up & back from Scotland weekly and it's giving me a nervous breakdown. I think more than anything I'm terrified he'll miss the birth. As I said I'm living with my parents at the mo (again, aged 34 and pregnant - didn't envisage that one!) but they're not particularly supportive & just tell me to 'get on with it'. :( Off now before I cry again! :o

Hugs Skint Catt, it must be so hard, I guess all I can say is that surely now you have been throught the longest time apart and each day that goes by now is a day closer to you meeting your little one and being a proper family. Talk to us on here and don't let your parents get you down. Can you watch a movie or take yourself out for a walk to take mind off things?

Ddebski that will prob do at the beginning, I have heard though that basic sleepsuits are essential - can you pick up a few at Tesco maybe? I got 3 sleeveless ones for £2.50 just to have extra for the many nappy changes whilst we get used to things.

Labour vibes to Amfodyndad and OH as well as any other boldies.

Apricot wow that's such a pain, especially at the time you need it most - you're in the same boat as me needing this pay packet to sort things for bubs, as they are due before end of next month! I hope they sort it soon for you x

That Mother In Law e-mail story is everywhere - a friend sent me it yesterday, I bet the MIL is wildly embarassed now... her local community must be aflutter with gossip... so Alison, you get off lighly with yours in comparison I assume, despite her perfumy aura!

Had a great 36 week appointment at midwife, bubs is 37cm, and heartbeat is great. Went for a swim, was nice but less relaxing than I thought as of course lots of children were there due to the strike, but it was good to go and I enjoyed the exercise.

Hard to believe that as of tomorrow I will need to start saying 'later this month' as to our due date
