Congratulations and well done mrsspendalot. Lovely smart name.

Jcr - your bump is nice and compact and really high (looks that way to me in photo anyway). My little one has taken a liking to lying sideways level with my belly button so there's no hiding it. I'm jealous of your sewing. I had lots of ideas but just haven't had any spare time. By the time I get home and have dinner it's usually after 9 and I'm good for nothing after that.

Hi all, sorry not very good at posting. Am still here, still pregnant. Only a day overdue but fed up with everyone asking "if baby has arrived yet?". Do they really think we would have forgotten to mention it?

MIL is the worst. Rang last night just to ask that. Then hung up! Grrrrrr.

My own Mum is being okay - but she went 14 days overdue with me, and as our pregnancies have been identical (been quite fun comparing notes!) i am fully expecting to go overdue by a bit .....

    Morning all!

What a gorgeous day - am off to midwife this morning then a swim, so looking forward to getting good news hopefully then cooling off with a swim.

Hubby was on sofa as I was snoring again, I feel awful and hate him not being in bed, plus I know he did not sleep well. He came back for a 10 min cuddle then got up for work. I will ask midwife if there is anything I can do - would rather wear a silly nose strip than him be so tired before a 12 hour day.

My bump is also small I think, must try to get a pic soon to compare notes at 35 weeks.

Woohoo! Had a good night last night, despite barely sleeping again! Opened post and had a letter telling me I passed my college course, then checked email, and the renewal for my car insurance was in. I'd been wrangling with them for a couple of weeks now to accept my full no claims (13 years) instead of the 6 max most allow.... My insurance quote is £500 lower than last year! I'm paying it fast in case they've made a mistake......
My stomach just lately has decided it's going to get as hard as a rock. And vibrate. That's a really weird feeling.

JCR- Call that a bump?? Hmmph, I'll echo Alison, I'm sick of people asking if I'm expecting twins, or on one memorable occasion- triplets. Maybe a Belfast thing.......

SDH- From my own mother, calling every hour on the dot with both my sisters once they reached 30 odd weeks, to ask if baby was on the way- turn your phone off. Or answer it screaming it's on the way...... :)

Sorry for the huge pic, but this is me at 24 weeks! Nobody has mentioned twins or triplets so far but they do look at me in sheer disbelief when I say I have 3 months to go! JCR your bump is so cute and compact - can hardly believe there's a 5lb-er in there!

Off to see the midwife for the first time since 15 weeks this morning, must remember to get the form thingy for work otherwise the boss will have a [STRIKE]well deserved[/STRIKE] hernia :D

Feeling very poor after the £190 car tax yesterday but on the plus side I have nice hair with less grey :p

I'm also having a huge strawberry milkshake kick at the moment, just can't get enough of the stuff! Going to have to find a cheaper way to get it rather than driving to MaccyD's 3 times a day :rotfl:

    Nearly the weekend :j

Sparkle, You could always buy him a pair of ear-plugs. Or tell him it's natures way of preparing him for the sleepless nights he'll face when baby arrives. :p

Lirin, congrats on passing your college course, and for getting £500 of your insurance! Happy days!

    Labour vibes to SHD

My MIL has booked her fortnight's holiday starting 3 days before my baby is due, and she keeps asking me do i think it'll arrive early :-/
I'm hoping it arrives the day she leaves as she drowns herself in Eau de Parfume so every time she picks a baby up it screams at the smell, and baby ends up smelling of purfume too, instead of having a nice baby smell.

WIP - OMG! I'm 26 weeks and although I thought I looked pregnant, I don't have a bump at all compared to yours - mine just looks like the flab I usually carry round! :(

Lirin congrats on passing your course and your £500 saving on the insurance - def get them to confirm it in writing quick!

Alison wow your MIL must think you are psychic to know whether baby will arrive early ... how does your OH feel about her heading off so close to the birth?
I know what you mean re: earplugs, maybe it's the only way, I just want him to sleep well because for me I can nap in the afternoon but he's got a long day. Yeah we're def aware this is mother nature preparing us he he...

Right, am off to midwife (snap Winnie in Pooh) and a swim...

    Morning ladies

    Congratulations on the new arrivals!!

WIP - what a fab bump! JCR - how are you hiding a 5lb-er in there?

My bump is more WIP but lower I think. I'm 28+5 - I've definitely noticed my bump has dropped over the last 2 weeks or so - my rib pain has definitely eased off.... May post a photo later on.

Unpacked all my baby clothes last night, to take stock of what we've got.... Hmph. Thought I had more - I have:

    4 s/s bodysuits
    2 sleeveless bodysuits
    6 l/s bodysuits
    4 romper suits
    7 sleepsuits

Is this enough to start with? I'm guessing people will buy outfits for us instead of essentials - I'm planning to go out and buy maybe a week after baby arrives (so we can buy the right colour as we're team yellow right now) - but is that going to get me through a week or so?

Been struggling with the toilet too recently - bit the bullet and took some Fybogel last night (hoping it doesn't have too much an effect on me seeing as I'm at work!) but it's getting so painful (sorry, TMI) and I'm bleeding the day or so afterwards. (Have mentioned this to the Dr - he prescribed Fybogel and Lactulose).

39 working days left - can't wait to meet my little sausage.

    xDx

Must be the day for midwife appointments! I'm off for my 26 week check at 1pm. Still stressed big time, but physically ok. Just sick of hubby having worked away for the last two years (when it was never supposed to be more than a few months) & feeling like I'm a single parent :( I've organised our entire wedding, three house moves & gone through preganancy (and probably birth too) on my own - I never imagined 'family' life like this & am sooo down.
