Oooh which one? Our new buses have a bit more space in them, even if the times are crappy now. I'm a bit taller than you I think and I like tall buggies, and it can't be as useless as a P&T for shopping :o:o

I was looking at the Jane Powertwin though I really like the nipper 360 best.. he likes the Obaby zynergi zoom

Can you please keep your fingers crossed for my little kitty? xxx

Fingers crossed mancbird my cat went missing a while back for 4 days and when she came back her fur was caked in motor oil so we think she may have been locked in a shed - knock the neighbours and ask them to check while you wait as lots of people say they will check but don't actually bother!

Try not to stress yourself out :grouphug:

    Afternoon ladies

Just a very quick message in between feeds to say that William Joseph Andrew was born on 26.6.11 at 22.22 weighing 7lb 2oz.

The labour was really quick in the end .... will post my story when I get chance to type anything more substantial.

    Congrats MrsS :j

Wow, there seems to have been a baby boom over the last few days, the list is moving quickly! I have 11 weeks to go, cant believe how quickly the time is flying!

Am v. bored today, am trying not to spend any money for next 2 weeks apart from food and diesel, oh and have threading appt for eyebrows booked on friday, but that is it, no more spending even though i really *need* a pedicure :o cant reach feet to do it myself, so will have to wait for 2 weeks and then am going to treat myself to a mother to be package at salon which includes a massage, facial and pedicure for £80 so will be worth the wait :D

Have a good day all xx

Thanks! Midwife has just been and he is asleep so will give a little bit more info!

I'm still struggling with my SPD a little, more so in my back than at the front at the moment.

My induction was started at 11.30am with Propess. The pessary did nothing to my cervix at all. At the midwife changeover at 8pm the replacement midwife offered to examine me again for cervical change and to see if she could break my waters instead. There was still no cervical change at all so she removed the Propess. She could only just reach to feel my bag of waters as my cervix was still quite high, but said she could do it with a struggle. I asked her to break them if she could, so she did at 8.50pm. His head immediately dropped right down, so she stripped the membranes back as far as she could to maximise the contact between his head and my cervix. I started contracting immediately.

At 9pm I was in established labour and hit the gas and air as the pains were intense from being brought on so quickly with no build up.

Everything between 9pm and about 10pm is a bit of a blur as I was so spaced out on gas and air. I do recall saying I felt like I was sat on his head though. At 10.15pm I said I felt like his head was right there waiting, so she examined me and said I was 5cm dilated. At that point she suggested standing up. My legs felt weak, but I stood up and it didn't feel right. I got back on the bed on all fours, and immediately felt the need to push. I panicked as I was expecting to be in labour for a few hours, waited for my contraction to pass, turned back to get on the bed in the 'normal' birthing position and then he was born! He arrived at 10.22pm, much to the midwife's surprise that I gone from 5cm to delivered in 7 minutes!

We had skin to skin contact straight away which helped him overcome the shock of coming so quickly. He breastfed for an hour and a half solid in the delivery room.

He's had all his blood tests done and even though he has slightly raised bilirubin levels and in mildly jaundiced, they have let us home. We have to go back to SCBU in 2 weeks to get his bloods repeated as a precaution though.

I'm tired, as he didn't let me sleep at all in hospital. Think I managed 45 minutes between him being born on Sunday and 3.45am on Tuesday morning when the midwives took him away so I could get an hour or two. He's wonderful though, well worth all the pain and stress.

Congrats to all the other new mummy's and good luck to all the boldies. I'll pop a piccie up when I can. For those of you who I am friends with on facebook, there is one up there now.

Thanks for all the support on this thread throughout the last few weeks xxxx
