Good God!! You lot are chatty today!Blue_Monkey wrote: »My friend's baby is Wilbur
I LOVE it!! I want it!!!!!!!!I lve Barney too. I wanted Murphy but OH veto'ed that
i object to having to take 90% for a week when the xmas bank holidays would have me off on full pay anyway.
At my work I can claim back all the Bank Holidays which were when I was on maternity leave. So if I take a full year off next year I can claim my 28 days annual leave, plus 9 days Bank Hol (extra one for the Queen's Jubilee), plus I will have my 28 days Annual leave from the year that I go back :j
If OH's paternity leave falls over Christmas / New Year, he can claim his Bank Holidays back too and take them at a later date.
I would check if this is applicable to you too.why do they not just come with a name printed on their 4r$e????
Now that would be handy!!Plus, you've got to say the name with the surname. DH worked with a Philip McCracken, which isn't too bad, but he typically got Phil as a nickname....
Took me a few minutes to figure that out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:seafarers_wife wrote: »with the boy and wee thing, i have never been so grateful that DH sits down to pee and if this is a boy it will be taught to sit down to wee as its going to be :money:as saving with cleaning materials and time[/QUOTE
My OH sits down tooI hate it when we have workmen in, or male visitors and they pee everywhere  It is bad enugh cleaning up man pee when it is your OH, but when it is someone else is even worse :mad::mad:

Charlotte is a lovely name, and I'm not just saying that because it's my middle name! (and my great-grandmother's name, which was where I got it from...). Sadly it kind of rhymes with our surname, so I think it's out for us but otherwise it'd be on my list!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0

Unfortunately Mr Knight, my emplyers dont see it as a myth. Just been and read our online maternity guidance on what info i must give, and i quote
"Expected week of child birth (EWC): this must be on a Sunday (i.e. the Sunday before the expected date of childbirth) and entered in the format DDMMMYYYY (e.g. 05Jul2005).
Start date for statutory maternity pay: this can be any day if the baby is expected on or after 1 April 2007". BUT "The start date for SMP (start of maternity leave NOT annual leave) MUST be on or before the EWC."
So if my EWC is starting on Sunday 25th Dec, the latest i can start my SMP, is also Sun 25th Dec. Although if i wanted to waste more of my 90% i could start it on another day and go more than a week before EDD. Bums.
Oh right sorry then. I'd researched it and couldn't find anything on it. Must depend on employers then.0 -
my dd1's middle name is Charlotte.
I love the name discussion on here we are really stuggling. she is having other halfs surname as her middle name? bit odd but its only a middle name so she gets my surname.
but a first name we are really stuggling with me and DD1 like Chloe he knew a child called Chloe who was murdered hence he is not keen. he loves Charlie i sort of like it but a few people know i wanted a boy so i think they will think i choose a boys name and intend to make her all boyie which i wont:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

ohh i love the name Daisy, Daisy May, altho the only guidance i have been given is no more o's or L's because we have lauren, oliviaanne, lilly and aparently it would not be fair because there names already spell out lol (wasnt deliberate) to be honest tho, if thats all OH has to worry about a week before our wedding then extra kudos to him.
I think you need another O so you can have lolo... or an I for loli
I have been careful to not have the same initial duplicated for mail purposes when they are older.
And just so you think I am sad.. we can do this with the initials..

Claire don't come on here teasing me with those bargains
!!! I saw the thread on grabbit. I can't find them in any local store and really want a carrier. Did however manage to order the mobile online the other day. Hope you and baby are doing well though! xx
Hi K, hope you're keeping well. My local only has a small section but seems to have different stuff each time I go in so may be worth keeping checking as its quite hit and miss. I got the last carrier today, but if I see anymore instore I'll give you a shout. And we're both doing grand- P is a wee dote although she is a little colicy which is heartbreaking when you just can't console her. I'm also doing well, but have a cold atm and coughing and sneezing 3 weeks after a section is just not funny:eek::rotfl::starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
