45 days at work left also, WW! (I'm not counting weekends....) Are we the same person? My boss told me today he was almost scared to talk to me yestarday because I got no sleep and was grumpy. I was mainly just trying to stay out of people's way though, so I'm sorry I made him feel bad!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: We might well be ..... My boss was warned not to upset me today, or face incurring 'the wrath'!!she did make me laugh though bless her, she was "downstairs" doing the sweep and she said "oooh you smell nice" meaning my perfume, but the look on my face was this .
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That is a classic!I have been on a mercy mission to Tescos and have bought a handheld food mixer thingy. Now sat enjoying a milkshake and relaxing infront of the telly. Its been a bad day, im aching all over but the milkshake is making it all better.
Did you not fancy washing up after all?
I had a physio appointment this afternoon, so I was very pleased to get out of work early, I was neither use nor ornament today anyway. My boss isn't happy with me as I told him that I am not going to visit clients in their homes which could be potentially volatile situations, but I stood my ground and we have another meeting on Monday.
Friday night is takeaway night, and I'm starving, but OH is akip on the sofa at the mo. I don't want to eat something then not be able to enjoy my takeaway, so if he doesn't wake up soon I may have to resort to desperate measures!0 -
Not the most exciting day ever for me, car went in for a service so thought I'd hang around in town whilst it was done as I needed a few bits and bobs. Dropped it off at 10.15 and picked it up at just before 3.00!! So my little wander round town ended up being nearly 5 hours of being bored out of my mind! Had I made the decision to go straight home after the uniform shop, I'd have had a nice few hours at home resting or getting stuff done, As it was I ended up mindlessly wandering for hours, spending more money that I wanted to on drinks, lunch etc. Got home about 3.15 and promptly had a 2 hour sleep!
On the plus side, OH is back shortly after a week away on a course so a nice night of snuggles on the sofa is on the cards.Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -

I attempted to wash it, but it was one of them smoothy machines with a nozzle tap thingy, which isnt removable and is impossible to clean. I got so fed up of trying it went flying out of the back door.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
Gosh you lot devour some gross things.. BLEURGH!!!!!!!!!!
Sammy.. that is 1 baby out of how many that they deliver on a daily basis??????? Every hospital has babies die.. oddly the infant mortality/stillbirth rate in this country is higher than in any other developed country in the world.. so you could say the maternity services here suck and you want to go have the baby in Sweden! The health care system here may well be free but it is a very crappy service and anywhere else in the world the would refuse to pay for such rubbish treatment! If only private healthcare were a viable option! It may well turn out the baby would have died anyway.. it is natural to be worried but you do need to look at it in context. A simple £7 screening test for Strep B would save hundreds of babies every year.. but they wont fund it.. says it all really!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thanks Pigpen. The baby that died in 2008 was attributed purely to negligence on the part of midwives and the baby would have most likely survived had appropriate treatment been given.
That case in itself didnt worry me too much as it was 3 years ago and i figured that any hospital that went through such an in depth investigation would have cleaned up its act and changed procedures.
The fact that they have recently failed another inspection and the police have opened other investigations into more deaths is what troubles me.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
ooh 5000th post.. I think we all need another hobby!
nothing ever changes Sammy because the staff dont get more traiing and the budgets are cut or have to include more stuff so money is tighter and things just get worse.. then they get to a point they close the hospital.. decorate it, rename and reopen it..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Have any of you guys had the swine flu jab? What are you thoughts?
Got the letter today inviting me in early October, I will be 37 weeks by then. Just feel very weird about it, not sure why.
Haven't had angel delight in years, my fave was always butterscotch though.0
