Oh and I bumped into a lady I recognised from the village and we got chatting about real nappies. Turns out she used to be a peer supporter for the real nappy network so she gave me her number and told me to ring her if I had any questions / problems about nappies. She said she used terry nappies and was very positive about them, which is reassuring as I'm planning to use them when flump is a bit bigger.

Do any of you on here have any experience of terry nappies (or any washable nappies?)

 DH left bout an hour ago for a weekend camping for a stag do. I've been sitting blubbing on the sofa now for 2 hours. Poor DH, felt awful for leaving me leaking snot and tears, but being the best man, would not have gone down well if he didnt show up.

I usually enjoy having the house to myself as DH works from home so i dont get the place to myself often, but i just cant seem to shake myself out of the blubfest somehow. AND i'm going to have to do the cat poo duty for 2 days, which i havent had to do for nearly 7 months! Bought myself some 'sposie gloves for protection but still, its been so long, it has turned into DH's little job.

Popped into morrisons this afternoon. Got a baby bath for £3.50 and they also have the huggies pure wipes on offer, buy 1 pack, get 2 packs free. They are £2.49 at the moment but I had a £1 off voucher from the huggies newborn starter kits (on offer for £3 in the Asda baby event. You get a £5 voucher for one of these when you join the Asda mum and baby club) so my wipes cost me £1.49 for 3 packs.

Chuffed with my little bargains :) hope someone finds them useful :) xxx

Ooh I still need to get a baby bath so will have to have a look in our morrisons. Also have one of those vouchers for huggies wipes so will get some of them - good bargains!

I am too miserable to eat.. though I have a cuppa.. I have made sure Squeak is fed though.. others dumped at KHs for the weekend.. Squeak wanted to go too she was clinging to DD3 and kept asking for kisses lol. She also appears to love her wax crayons.. and is scribbling her way through a roll of lining paper!

I dont like milk or angel delight.. I dont think I want anything other than to lose 3 stone..

Anyone watching the news may have caught the story about my local hospitals maternity ward issues. :-(

Im really worried about giving birth there now.

I knew they had issues in 2008 and sadly a little baby had died but had assumed that things would be much improved there now following the subsequent investigations and the damning findings.

Turns out they have recently failed an unannounced inspection and the police are now investigating several deaths of mothers and babies, although they dont say if these were recent deaths.

I live a good hour away from any other maternity units/wards/hospitals. Homebirth is out of the question as we live in a building site which i dont expect to be done by December (although i would have had a home birth down as first choice if it was habitable)

Im really worried about giving birth there. I know we dont have all the details yet but i really doubt we will in the next 3 months either. These things take so long to get out into the open.
