    Evening all!

Been up since three this morning - honestly think baby is going to be early, i cant take much more of this she must be as tired as i am!

Went out for lunch with my mam to new Italians that has opened in town and i am now officially a walking garlic clove :D Must have went to the loo about 50 times in five hours and still walking like john wayne :( To add to the hormonal wreck that i am, the clutch has gone all funny on the car its either up or down no bite and have been stalling all over the place so very pished off! Uncle s coming to have a look at it over the weekend :( more money to spend which i havent got - it will have to wait until the end of the month - i doubt ill be going anywhere ive only been driving round the block so the hand brake doesnt sieze up - i can barely fit behind the wheel anyway.

I want this baby out of me now though would prefer if i have some sleep first!!! Back aches, hips aches, babay very very low feels like shes just going to pop out - i really need the loo but i cant face climbing the stairs again......sigh!

Have any of you guys had the swine flu jab? What are you thoughts?

I havent had it and to be honest no one has really mentioned it to me. I remember being given a leaflet about it at my booking in appointment at 7 weeks but midwife hasnt said anything since.

Yes i was a bit surprised when I got the letter, I thought Swine flu was over and done with. Don't think I will bother, just wondering what the general feeling was.

Aw pigpen your OH really needs a good shake! I'm getting all worked up on your behalf at what a prize chump he is being, grrrrrr :(

My doctor's appointment went well. Baby is head down and he said he was "3/5 above". What does that mean? Flump is measuring 36 weeks so spot on and his heartbeat was strong and loud :) I've been given more anti-sickness tablets and a repeat prescription for maalox so we will see how I get on or with them. He told me to make a 38 week appointment with the midwife and also one with him so he can review my weight. I have put on 500g since I last saw him 2 weeks ago so he was pleased with that :)

Popped into morrisons this afternoon. Got a baby bath for £3.50 and they also have the huggies pure wipes on offer, buy 1 pack, get 2 packs free. They are £2.49 at the moment but I had a £1 off voucher from the huggies newborn starter kits (on offer for £3 in the Asda baby event. You get a £5 voucher for one of these when you join the Asda mum and baby club) so my wipes cost me £1.49 for 3 packs.

Chuffed with my little bargains :) hope someone finds them useful :) xxx

I got some wipes from there same as you using the voucher for £1 off. well i had 2 vouchers (i actually have loads) so i got £2 off and got 2 packs for 49p and have repeated the purchase a few times.

Can anyone vouch for how well huggies pure keep and if they are any good? i always used pampers with dd1

The Seasonal flu jab this year covers 3 strains of flu which they think will hit this winter, one of which is swine flu.
Swine flu is still about and there is a fair chance that alot of flu cases this winter will be swine flu related.

Anyone watching the news may have caught the story about my local hospitals maternity ward issues. :-(

Im really worried about giving birth there now.

Sammy if there is that much attention on them they will probably be fantastic for the next year and throw money and staff at it. There is always a (tiny) risk to giving birth but there is no point stressing yourself over it. I agree with pigpen that maternity services could be greatly improved, especially regarding the caring part, but I think they are good for safety ( just not for comfort IYKWIM)

Buterscotch angel delight.. I love it!! Can't stand the banana one. It makes me puke.

37 weeks and so had enough of being pregnant now. I want my body back. Hugs to all the boldies. Hope things happen this weekend for you all.

  • I think there was a news article last week that swine flu cases are on the rise again, but I won't be having it. I don't have the regular flu injection either after OH had a bad reaction a few years ago and ended up ill and on medication for 6 months.

Sammy, I think if you are that concerned then it may be worth changing to another hospital, even if it is an hour away. However, no matter where you go there is a risk of mistakes happening, after all midwives, nurses and Consultants are all human. That isn't any comfort I know, but it is a fact of life.

Does anyone else feel like a fat boring frump? I've been feeling like this for weeks now, and my only topic of conversation seems to be baby related. What happened to my life? I used to do things, now I just cannot be bothered. I need a kick up the @rse! I think OH is getting sick of me and my miserable chops :(
