So had I until he was hinting I'd really love my present....
Might buy him a watch, as I hate the ticky thing he wears now- it's so loud and the sun glares off it in the car!0 -
If on incme support or jobseekers then you get heathy start vultures.. they can be used on milk or fresh fruit and veg
£3.10 a week during pregnancy and 1-5 and £6.20 a week for babys first year.
thanks. rules me out then though. with hubby not employed at the moment we are on a low income but get working tax credits so not entitled to anything else as far as i can work out, even though we arent near the 16,000 mark we cant even get free school meals because we get working tax. shame could really do with the help at the monow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Elmo,
I got a a Moses basket and stand from freecycle in fab condition with loads of bedding with it so would be worth looking on your local group.... Just need to get a new mattress for it now
Winnie,
It is definitely possible that the co-codamol is making you feel poorly. I have a high tolerance to it due to arthritis and previous operations etc but I know my OH can't take it because it makes him feel awful. Tramadol makes Ke like a zombie, really spaced out!
I have had a productive daysorted through all the baby clothes etc and now have a huge black sack of clothes, bedding, baby towels, muslins etc that need to be washed in newborn and 0-3 month sizes
all the bigger sizes have gone in the drawers under our bed to be washed at a later time. My silly cat managed to get over the back of the drawer and into the bed base but has eventually decided that there is no tasty food there and so she had better come out if she wants feeding
lol
I also went to the big town (20 miles away) to pick up a chest of drawers from freecycle. Wierdly the guy I picked them up from lived on the same street as the family who gave me the Moses basket and baby gym last week! Going to sand the drawers down and paint them tomorrow
I filled up the car with lpg and found out it is 8p a litre cheaper in the big town than from the gas station near us! 78p as opposed to 86p. Might not sound a lot but that is £4 a tank cheaper so it all adds up! That's one thing that annoys me about living where we do, everything is so much more expensive than in town, Grrrrrrrr.
Anyway rant over lolgoing to have a wee nap now. Hope you're all having a good day

Can anyone help suggest a christmas present for DH? DSD will get him a DVD, I have a gift from Hitchhiker, but no idea what to get him myself- and it has to be reasonably easily hidden in case I'm in hospital still close to the time.
A letter telling him he is too old for presents maybe?:D
Men are so hard to buy for. I usually get something out of HMV for mine. Oh, and thorntons chocs and fudge - always a winner!
Congrats on Viability delain and HUGE labour vibes to twinkle and the boldiesFirst Baby born January 2007

Yes I use them. Found baby too slippery otherwise. I bought one last week from smyths: £3.99 and well worth it to have a free hand. Mothercare sell them at twice that price so shop around.First Baby born January 2007
