My sister always calls them muslim squares too.. amuses me no end! i just call them slobber cloths!
Didn't think about that, hard hearted cow I amnoone should be enjoying bank holidays if I'm not enjoying mines!

Hi everyone,
Hope you and bumps are all well
I can't remember who it was asking about sheets but we have got 5 Moses basket sheets and I am planning to get 4 sheets for the cot bed. We also have some gro bags and cellular / fleece blankets etc.
I'm 34+3 today and feeling sluggish. My back is hurting and I have a pain in my bum cheek! Whinge, whinge, whinge! Lol
Did a car boot yesterday and managed to get rid of some stuff. Also managed to pick up a tommy tippee electric breast pump, still in the box with all the bits for a fiver so I was pretty chuffedmy sister annoyed me though because she was a bit snooty about it having been used by someone else. I pointed out that it's only the same as hiring a pump from somewhere like the nct and it is going to be sterilised anyway. Grrrr she gets on my nerves sometimes!!! LOL
I also picked up some sleepsuits for 25p each, some with the tags still on so I was pretty happy with themgoing to get all my baby clothes together and work out exactly what we have / still need.
I was thinking 7 vests, 7 sleepsuits, 3 cardigans, a couple of outfits etc in 0-3 months and newborn sizes. Does this sound like enough? We have a tumble dryer so drying things isn't a problem.
Must pack my hospital bag today. My sister went mad when she found out it wasn't done yet. She went into labour at 37 weeks with her first and had a couple of stays in hospital in her final weeks of pregnancy.
Take care everyone xxxMammy to 2 boys aged 5 and 20 -
ooh had a tour round the maternity unit today, lasted an hour and a half, do they not realise im pregnant and cant walk/stand up for that long latley lol
really put my mind at rest as its been a long while since my last one (10 yrs) and it was a different hospital then and was literally told to lay there with the moniter strapped and wait to give birth .
this hospital really encourages active labours and tries not to have you just laying there, the rooms were quite nice and the midwifes i met seemed really friendly so all good there then.
have midwifes again tomorrow then im taking the boys out to have a fish pedicure thingy they are so excited bless em. then back to work for thurs and fri then im finished whoop whoop maternity leave here i come.
my eldest starts senior school next week as well looks so grown up in his uniform, so i told him he just needs to keep his mouth zipped and he will get on well lol moody teenager ish kevin and perrry comes to mindnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Evening all, well i had a lovely day today, much more positive than yesterday, i went to meet my friend and we had a very relaxed wander round the park. Then i went off round Sainsbury's much to the checkout lady's surprise who asked how long i'd got to go, when i said 2-3 days she nearly fell off her chair! Quite funny really:)
Well then i came home and had some lunch, a little nap, some quality afternoon telly and now i'm about to get back on the birthing ball to try and ease the foo foo pain. I'm not sure if it was me who was talking about that funny muscle pain, i do get pains in my legs when i have been layed down too long on one side, so it might have been me, i think mine are just general aches and pains though, nothing more. Anyone who is worried should speak to the MW though, make sure it's nothing serious.
I'm back at the midwife tomorrow morning and the decorator should finish tomorrow too. I'm hoping that baby has moved down some more, i think it has, it feels different somehow. Still moving around a lot though, does anyone know, once you go into labour, even early labour, should baby move more or less than normal?0 -

But there's nothing wrong....
Ouch, that does not sound like fun! I really don't envy you WinnieIve just had enough and I am fed up of hearing myself complaining!
Ditto!! Meaning I'm sick of hearing myself complaining, not you!
SVSandy, your pain sounds like mild SPD.
I had a good blub over my stretch marks when OH came home from work, bet he was wishing he was back at workI really hoped I wouldn't get them, one of my sister's didn't get any, and the other got loads of them  Since my pregnancy seems to have replicated my sister's who didn't get any stretch marks I hoped I would copy her in that too
I've been feeling a bit queasy the past couple of days and have gone off foods that I went off with MS, and started drinking loads of milk again, which I did when I had MS. I wonder if it is starting again. If it is it might curb my horrendous appetite. I know they say you only need an extra 200 calories per day, but I am ravenous all the time :eek:0 -
An article on BBC news was telling me the other day you don't need any extra calories until the 3rd trimester and then it's 200  I've another 11 weeks to go before I can apparently be eating more. Yeah right...The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Lies.. you are sick of me too lol...
Does it make you feel better knowing other fatties are whinging as much as you? I find it reassuring I am normal in my incessant complaining.
As for food.. I ate my own body weight daily in the first 4 months.. I barely eat a thing now.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
It does make me feel better when I come on here and others are whinging, it feels a 'safe' place to whine and moan, but I get sick of listening to myself in RL :rotfl:
I've got another physio appointment today. I think the exercises may be helping a bit, or it could have been the massage I had on Saturday, as I've managed to actually stay in bed the past couple of nights although I've woken numerous times in pain and had to move. Either that or sheer exhaustion has kicked in now and my body is able to sleep through the pain!
I'm going to have a jaunt to Asda on the way to physio and see if I can get one of their highchairs for £25 that they have in the baby event.0 -
