Could it be when something has made him jump?

Nope - it's all the time going manic!!! Ok slight exaggeration about all the time but it's most of the day and night that I feel him. The way he moves just feels like he's having a fit! DS1 was quite active, DS2 not so much but this is unlike either of them!

Phoebe is a lovely name! I was given some advice about names and it's really true. Picture your child's name on their CV! Some names are very cute for babies and toddlers but not for teenagers and those looking for work. But Phoebe is lovely!
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!

My niece is Phoebe- her name was wrong on the christening cake, so she was affectionately called Foobie for her first year- it's a lovely name! :)

    Afternoon all,

Another night of not brilliant sleep here followed by the longest wee i've done since being preggers...could that have been my waters?...i'm sure i would know if it were...right?

Anyway, congrats to Laura and Claire on the babies, i'm off to lie down and be pampered by hubby for the day:)

I like it too - the CV tip is a good one. My OH will hate Phoebe too, I just know it, but I think it's a beautiful name!

I wish more people did that, you can't predict how a person will look either and it just might not suit them when they're grown up. I always hated both my names, and mine wasn't out there as such (although apparently my mum wanted to call me Rio after the Duran Duran song but my Dad came to my rescue lol) but I didn't like it.

Mind you all of mine have got fairly run of the mill names, on the back of me wishing I had a more normal name. Of course they wish they had pretty, flowery names lol.

It wouldn't feel like a wee, more like a massive period type gush :o

(sorry I know TMI, there was no polite way to put it!)

JCR, so glad to hear everything is dreamy :-) And you OH sounds wonderful!!! How have you got him to be so useful? Are you drugging his tea or something?

um i don't know. he just does it. ok so he doesn't do thing's how i would ie i would get washing on line daily ( weather permitting)and he is using tumbly. but then we all have our prefered way of doing things and it not a mega prob. i guess tho he knows if he doesn't do jobs i will, and i think he is worried i'd injury myself as i can't sit still. and i think he would never forgive himself if i hurt myself. he just wants me to take it easy .were sharing the jobs more now tho, as i really hate feeling lazy or like i'm not contributing.

    Congrats to the new mummies!!

I've been lurking here for a good while now (since before PP and Dlain had their last babies!!!!) but will hopefully be able to join you soon as I am now pregnant!!! Only 4+6 though so VERY early days.

Gilly, my baby will deffo be having a sophie Giraffe as I am giraffe mad and want one for myself lol!!!

I have a couple of questions if you ladies wouldn't mind helping me with them.

Firstly, do any of you have underactive thyroid? I have and just wondered how soon after your BFP the doc tested your thyroid function and how regularly throughout pregnancy. Also, I was tested just before I OV'd on the cycle I got PG so my doc says that as that result was ok I don't need testing again yet. Any thoughts?

Second question, can you recommend a good book to take me right through pregnancy? Its the first time for me & DH so we haven't a clue lol!!

    Thanks ladies xx

Congrats on your pregnancy Lisa - I hope the next 8 months pass without incident for you.

I can't help with your first question, but I have the "what to expect when you're expecting" book and I have found it to be invaluable. There are few pictures but I find it to be written wonderfully - I am a first time mum and it hasn't scared me off!!

    xDx
