Hi everyone,

I'm just popping in to announce the safe arrival of our baby girl on August 23rd:j She weighed 7lb 1oz and is absolutely gorgeous. No name as of yet though:o She ended up being born by emergency caesarean in the end, so nothing like the birth I had hoped for but it really doesn't matter. We are both doing fine and I'll come back and update with more details when I get the chance. Good luck to all those who are due soon x

well had my baby shower last night and really enjoyed it, even though i was sooo tired lol had a good catch up with some great friends and am now officialy giving this baby its eviction notice, baby you have 5 weeks to leave lol

I have a strange numbness going on in my left hand, which started with pins and needles last night - guessing this is carpal tunnel syndrome? Figure it's quite late on to start getting aches and pains (37 weeks = FULL TERM!! tomorrow) but I can't think it's anything else? No swelling or anything - should I be mentioning to midwife - not seeing her for another week and a bit....?

Labour vibes to boldies - 5 days left at work for me now - CANNOT WAIT!!

ddebski Ring your GP's surgery and get on the nurses list, they'll call you back and tell you if they need to see you or if it's straighforward. MW's tend to be a bit overworked so not that good for other enquiries!
