Nope, don't think I'll ever watch romantics.... At least, not for sickly love stories. I have Romeo and Juliet, as I had to write a study on camera techniques on it, and Titanic, for similar reasons. my DH is most definitely the soppy one in our relationship- I'm the one running around the night before going 'Crap! It's Valentine's Day tomorrow! Why didn't I remember?'

Just had to rush to the loo (I tend to pee when I cough these days) as I started having another coughing fit brought on by heartburn.

I made it just in time but ended up puking all over the floor. :o

Has anyone else started feeling or being sick in the last few weeks?

I've been sick a few times recently due to heartburn - it's horrible and I still haven't found anything that really gets rid of it. Can't drink that foul gaviscon stuff anyway!

Im loving all the bump pics - I really should get around to doing some.

Have my 34 week midwife appointment today (at 35 weeks because stupid MW can't count) really wondering what position baby is in, she seems to have shifted immensely in the last 48 hours and as far as my untrained hands can tell her bum is where her head should be - although I could be wrong.

haven't seen Lablover around for a while either??

    Hello,

I have only just come across this thread and I am after some advice if possible.

I am 31 weeks pregnant, due on the 23/08/11 but this past day or two am feeling slightly off colour.

I have been suffering with diarhhea, lower abdominal cramping, a hardening of my stomach, leg cramps, lower back pain and blue feet - it's not like a contraction/braxton hicks...it's more of a niggling, tickling sensation but it's constant. I have taken paracetomal but it doesn't seem to make a difference...

I can feel pressure being applied inbetween my hips, and have a constant urge to pee...altho' usually when I get to the loo I can't go! My lower region seems to swell every now and then also.

I never suffered with any of these symptoms with my other two children and both were 10 days overdue but I am under a consultant due to having laser treatment on my cervix a few years ago which they said could cause preterm labour, due to my cervix being weak.

Any advice would be much appreciated? Thankyou

Just back from MW. Everything perfectly normal, heartbeat sounded amazing! First time I've heard it so clear- I have a doppler, but it's nowhere near the quality of the MW's scanner.....

Have been given a cream to put up my nose for 10 days to try stop the nosebleeds I have (related to low platelet count), and very fun instructions to not blow my nose for the 10 days.... that could be interesting!

Good luck to everyone who needs it, and hope the GP gives you reassurance, Kellpea....

Silver lining: Throwing up before breakfast is much less messy than just after breakfast :o

DD1 totally redecorated ex-mils car about half an hour after being given a load of chocolate cereal by her :rotfl:

I am 14 weeks apparently now and heard the heartbeat at MW appt yesterday :D

Apparently there is some sickness bug thing going around atm as my daughter was sent home fro school ill this morning too.

I just hope I don't catch it as stomach cramps & sickness really isn't what I need right now. :rotfl:

Labour vibes to you too. :A

BCS hope you are feeling better and PigPen hopefully it's just a way he has of offloading, maybe stuff he doesn't want to burden you with? I know I may be being charitable... either way you have no guarantee of knowing unless you catch him at something definate. I am sure he wants to be with you, but understand how your mind can play games and totally get the insecurities riled up!

Apricot glad all went well, is she facing down now do you think?

Lirin glad your app went ok, and yes so amazing to hear the little heartbeat! I managed to remember to record ours 2nd time around on my phone so OH could hear it.

Kellpea hope you get an appointment soon or can call the midwife, I am sure it's all part of the process but it's nice to get some reassurance from them as they will know what to ask.

Can empathise re: movies/tv - I can't watch any upsetting stuff now, no horror movies etc which I normally like (enough to watch anyway), though CSI is fine. Last night I was very upset watching the Baby Hospital so won't be watching that anymore. I have taken to watching lots of the Friends reruns and when on maternity leave a friend has lent me 3 seasons worth, I figure bubs will like the endorphins!
