  • Just had to rush to the loo (I tend to pee when I cough these days) as I started having another coughing fit brought on by heartburn.

I made it just in time but ended up puking all over the floor. :o

Has anyone else started feeling or being sick in the last few weeks?

Ive got the heartburn and the cough but only 28 +2 so no sickness but dont know if that is relevant to you????

Do you think it was the coughing? I sometimes retch when i cough too much and that with the heartburn i think would push me over the edge?

I feel a bit sicky but not as bad as the morning sickness but once I start coughing I find it hard to stop & anything i've eaten recently seems to come back up.

I think the heartburn starts the cough off & probably my asthma makes it harder for me to stop.

I just wondered if the starting to feel sick near the end thing was normal due to the size of the baby perhaps?

What do you take for your heartburn?

Gaviscon just doesn't do it anymore & none of the Rennie type things i've tried work either.

I've been suffering with heartburn terribly for weeks and weeks and have gone through 3 bottles of gaviscon advance on prescription. These past few weeks I have been feeling sicky and suffering with reflux too. It's started to keep me awake at night, or wake me up during the night. I happened to mention it to my consultant the other day and they prescribed me some ranitidine tablets. I have to say, it's working like a dream!!! I haven't felt heartburn once since starting them on Friday.

Thanks for that Mrs S. :A

I'll ask my consultant Thursday if I can try some as the heartburn is making life unbearable atm.

Oh dear :( Not nice :(

Have you confronted him about it?

No.. I don't want to know the answer.. I know this is mainly my insecurities and that I need to reel it in.. but I will do this every so often .. She doesn't live in this country so I know there is nothing physical but I still feel a little betrayed..

He doesn't find chunky women attractive.. here's me.. little missy oompa-loompa .. hell, I wouldn't find me attractive either :p .. so I know it will improve and I know he is struggling with the children (they are being beastly at the moment no doubt thanks to KH again!)

I am just needing a bit of reassurance from him he still wants to be with me I think.. children aside.. they won't be here forever.. but does he want to be with me!

On a brighter note.. I have finished the first cardy for the baby and made a start on the second :D I still have Squeaks but some are not 'seen in public' but perfect for bed and in the house.. so we need a few new ones.. plus I think we will need more this one being autumn baby and Squeak being summer.

    Bed time be thinketh..

    Morning ladies :)

I need to ask personal question-TMI- has anyone had very swollen lady bits? Over the past few weeks I've noticed that a lot of blood seems to be flowing down there, and a lot of the time are quite swollen around the outside (no itching, nasty discharge or anything). Now this is great for my sex life (as i feel turned on a lot of the time) but is quite annoying the rest of the time! Is this normal? I can't remember from my last pregnancy.

And another question, not TMI-has anyone else been having strange dreams? Last night I dreamt i was really far on in my pregnancy and could feel the baby moving around and my bump was moving (woke up thinking thats odd-i'm only 14 weeks and so don't feel much movement yet!).

I'm under a lot of stress with my neighbours causing trouble (been going on for 2 years) and wish they'd go away and leave me in peace.

My midwife has been visiting me at home to check my bp, as it goes up when i go into the hospital to see the consultant (they seem to make me very nervous) and it has been fine so far at home :) She has passed a message on to not worry about me as much-and is trying to help me get into a relaxation course thing.

I haven't had chance to catch up on here yet, so I hope everyone is well. xx

Yup, I'm 17 weeks on Friday, and I'm swollen, which has both a good and a bad side!
Strange dreams- yes, had quite a few, especially in the last week or so. Sort of worst-case scenario labour ones- they're certainly interesting.....
I'd also seriously advise not watching 'Alien' before bedtime.... I love that film, but it has a whole new meaning now.....
  • My movies list changed completely since the pregnancy... I used to watch series like CSI or Law and Order every night... Now I can't stand the bodies :rotfl: I only watch romance now :A
