Morning Ladies
Well, today is the day i get the keys back to my house from evil tenants. I didnt sleep too well last night as im worried about the state they have left it in - i need to get it re-let asap so am hoping its not too bad. MIL has offered to help me sort out the garden and clean it top to bottom so all being well i will be able to get it advertised this week and find someone to let it from end of August.
Re jobs around the house, DD is 5, she makes her bed, puts dirty clothes in the laundry basket/washing machine, sets the table, helps to wash the car etc she doesnt get any money for this, its expected that she helps her family to keep our house nice, her room is always fairly tidy. I think the earlier you start with them the easier it is. Oh, she also goes to work with OH one day a week during holidays which involves leaving the house at 6.30am, she does get money for this but i would want paying too if i had to leave the house that early and came home smelling of fish!!
Have a good day all, and keep your fingers crossed for my house not being trashed xxDue 26th July, team yellow0 -

Hi Kat and Emily!
Well- after the haemophiliac doc, I'd sent round a text to my family as they'd asked me to let them know what he said. My dad, in all his wisdom, read the text without his glasses, misread 'doc' for 'clot' and sparked off a mass family panic, that resulted in hundreds of texts and calls to my phone for ages, and a tearful sister trying to book a flight home from Australia convinced I was going to die.
Ah, well- At least I know I'm loved!
In other news, evil ex mother-in-law has been whispering in DSD's ear. She dislikes me, and I'm unsure why- I met DH over 6 years after the marriage ended, and I get on well enough with his ex-wife, who's joining forces with me today. She's been telling DSD that as soon as baby's born, we won't want her anymore, and she will be pushed out. That's not something you say to a child- I'm angry thinking about it. It's not the first time she's done stuff like this- she meddles and connives, not just with us, but with everyone. TBH, I can't dislike her- I just keep feeling sorry for whatever's happened to her to make her like that with everyone.
Jcr- so you're getting butterflies now?Tomorrow will go well, I hope, I'll be thinking about you!
Missy- evil tenants will be gone and banished forever from your property. Anything else can be fixed, hope it's not too bad.0 -

thats for the advice re the risk assessments the problem is my manager wrote them with me and it is her that is ignoring them. i said to her the risk assessment says i cant work with violet or unpredictable people therefore i couldnt do that group her responce was if anything kicks off go to the office. The issue is that we are really short staffed. i am the only on there at the moment a new member should be starting in Sept so i just want it to be sept already!
i will tell her my concerns today about having to do the group in the woods and will let you know what she says!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

It sounds like at the moment, due to the short staffing, just letting you get on with it is the easy option (in the hope nothing goes wrong). I think you need to do 2 things.
1) Make it difficult. As i said, sending you and taking the risk is the easy option. Make it clear that whilst you understand resourcing constraints, you feel that the current means of dealing with your pregnancy means there is a duty of care issue for the people you are working with, as well as a H&S issue for you. If this has been clearly stated to her, it is alot harder to ignore, and puts HER neck on the line if she does.
This feeds into 2) cover your backside. You and your boss have a duty of care to the people in the group. If something did kick off,or looked like it was, and you legged it, and something happened to someone in the group, you can bet they would be looking to let the buck stop with you. So you need to put it IN WRITING to your boss, that you understand her instructions to go, and just get out of there if there is trouble in order to avoid risk to yourself, but that you have concerns for the safety of the group if something did happen and there was just noone there. Spell it out, all the things that could happen to you or the group.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Morning ladies, i am feeling better today after Squid let me sleep last night:)
Went to the consultant yesterday and don't have to go back to the hospital now until i'm in labour!
I have excellent photos and will now attempt to post them, not sure how to do that though?
Hugs and love to those in need and positive vibes going out to all this morning.0 -
Jenjade - I think you are within your rights to refuse to do work that you've been risk assessed against. Is there someone above your manager or an HR rep that you could speak to? ETA cross posted with Kira - good advice there!
DS's dad (also a KH) tried telling DS that I was only having a baby to replace him and that I didn't love him anymore. Then I found out that KH's wife was also pregnant and DS had been threatened (by what I don't know) not to tell me. She's being induced today so I'm just waiting to see what role DS will be playing in their lives once their baby arrives. Not a big one at a guess.0 -
Ok, so i have no idea~!0
