    morning all!
just a quickie, what posistions are you sleeping in, ive read its best to sleep on your left side, which i have been doing but the past few nights the only way i can get comfy is on the right, if i try to sleep on my left i get a sort of stitch pain and i have to change sides, doesnt help that my sciatica has kicked in and my back feels like it's breaking in two! i tend then to wake in the middle of the night, on my right, then start prodding baby til i get a reaction from her, lol, thank god ive not long left and i can get back on my belly :)
    Skint, but happy (ish):p

I have vivid dreams all the time anyway as well, they seem to get worse in pregnancy.

The worst thing about it is waking up feeling more tired than when you went to sleep!

Oh definitely! Not sure I've ever dreamt about DH's funeral before though....hormones can keep that one!

Do you think its coincidental I had that dream just after our conversation about him having the snip???

The subconscious is a funny old thing, who knows :p

I have had the odd very very horrible dreams, when I had just had my twins I dreamed that DD1 had died (she was just 2) that was the worst one I've ever had I think.

OH knows when I'm really worried about something because I start sitting up and talking in my sleep, I used to sleepwalk as a child but thankfully that seems to have stopped now!

If I'm feeling very stressed though and having lots of dreams I am always careful to wear PJ's I wouldn't mind a child/random person outside seeing me in, just in case, the idea of me being found sleepwalking outside in my undies fills me with dread :o:o:o

I am usually a belly sleeper, but having read the advice, tried to start side sleeping from about 9 weeks. Was doing fine, but now as of 21 weeks, its starting to get achy hips. I TRY to sleep on my left side, but it gives me acid indegestion (always has!),and i generally feel less comfy that side, so i end up on my right alot more. My book said left side was preferable, but right side was fine too. About 4am, when hips are very achy, i tend to end up on my back for a bit to stretch but when i do it, i shift up the bed a bit, so i'm semi sitting propped up on my pillow and bolster.

I usually fall asleep on my left hand side but only stay there until my left leg goes numb then I have to roll over onto my right side where I can stay until my left hip feels like its been dislocated so I have to roll over again. This generally goes on all night :( sleeping really hurts!

Thats a good call, I hadn't thought of that! Don't generally sleepwalk unless something really traumatic is going on but as we're currently sleeping in the living room which is right next to the front door.....

I was like that last pregnancy. It was horrible. This time i have a new mattress so i don't get numb hips anymore. I start on the left side, wake 2 hours later, go to the loo, go back to sleep on the right. wake 2 hours later, go to the loo, go back to sleep on my left, etc.

Most of the time bump shuffles around with me, sometimes i wake up with him kicking away and have to turn over to get bump more comfy. If it's sleeping, happy days, as i struggle to get back to sleep if bump is bouncing around. I definately don't start prodding at it!! :p

Not been too bad with the scary dreams this time. I think my 5 minutes of relaxing breathing practice before sleep is maybe helping with that.

  • thought I would give you an update:

Went to see OH last night - He says he is upset because we aregue (2 occassions its been quite vicious ones but this was a while ago) and he cant forget the arguing, he doesnt remember the good times. Because he doesnt remember the good times he texts women who do make him feel good about himself. He doesnt find coming near me (for cuddles) easy because hes reminded of the arguing (sheesh!)

He moved 400 miles to be with me and has found it difficult to make friends (I've tried to get him to head out with the "local" lads but he never seems to be bothered!)

Hes also worried that at any point I can kick him out (House is rented in my name) but i've never ever done so. Might have told him to AHEM off for a few hours but thats it.

ANYWAY - he said he wanted space, I explained why I thought that was a bad idea but agreed to it. He got upset, cried (a few times!) and rang me for about an hour when I got home. Texted me this morning etc and says he misses me (wish he would make his mind up!)

As it stands, im not contacting him unless urgent, I'm replying when he texts etc, but other than that am staying away.

    CHANGE OF TOPIC NOW!

    Jobs around the house.

    DD is 4:

Makes her bed in the morning
    Opens curtains / blinds
All laundry is put into wash basket
    Gets herself dressed
Gets breakfast (She gets the crumpets out of the bread bin lol)
Plates at the sink when finished
SOMETIMES helps dry pots (non breakables / sharpies)
    keeps toys tidy
sometimes loads the washing machine for me if i sort clothes out for her (she thinks its great)
    Helps me peg washing out
    Walks the dog with me
puts her "ironing" away (socks and knickers in the drawer!)
helps wash the sofas with wipes
    Dusts lol

    Erm . . .

She actually helps all the time tbh - she doesnt have "chores" as such

    Cant think

I rarely dream at all.. well.. recall dreams anyway.. I sleep pretty much on my front too.. baby has shifted right into my back.. back to back as is usual for my babies so I have arms and legs poking out the front couple of times a day.. which results in a head pushed into my bowel and the rest of the time a face squished against my bladder.. oh the joy! Im so glad we are no longer feet down though.. that was not comfy.

Girls been at physio this morning.. they are really pleased with Tiddles progress.. however I think I have been plunged into an acid bath.. my legs and hips are on fire.. and my back simply is broken... everyone was in the car ready to go by the time I even got to it and then it took me aaaagggges to get in .. then another age to get sat in the least painful position.. THEN I open my bag and find painkillers... :D I thought I had eaten them all.. and there were 2 .. smiling at me.. I think it was a smug grin but either way! :) I dont think I am going to be able to move off the sofa for the rest of the day..

Thats good they were pleased :) Is it Tiddles that has the CP? Must be hard work doing the work with her as well as everything else you do!

    Hope the painkillers help lol.

I'm not feeling too bad ATM, really only get the hip pain if I overdo it and walk a long way.

Think the twins are still buzzing from the party food on Sunday, they can't sit still, are being defiant and awkward and are being all sorts of trouble :(

We were going to go to soft play, but I don't really want to take them out if they are going to carry on being like they are, it just won't be worth it.

Ex mil has them tomorrow so she can deal with the hyper naughtiness I usually get inflicted with when they come back from her!

DD1 is whinging and moaning about being bored and it's raining so I can't send her into the garden, Squeak is having a mammoth sleep though so could I after last night :o

Bring on finding a house bigger than a shoebox, oh and school!

No, it is DD3 with CP.. Tiddles has severe hypermobility and is very very flippy floppy.

Oh gosh how I miss school... 3 weeks tomorrow mine are back.. though DS2 is back 3 weeks today! I think they are looking forward to it as much as I am !
