Morning Ladies, in a great mood today, I think the dark cloud over my head must have moved, my OH will be pleased I'm not bawling him out at every opportunity :D

jcr please go get checked out, it's terrible the way they are treating you, especially when this isn't your first, so you know what you're doing!

R.e labour, It has always terrified me, to the point I used to say I'd never have children, but since getting pregnant I've been quite calm about it, has to come out so I'll need to cope. My friend text me first thing after having her baby and said "It's honestly not that bad, I promise, I'll give you the low down once I get out the hospital." Bless her, even if she's lying, that's a nice thing to say I think.

Gilly.. It isnt that bad.. it really isnt.. After the 36 hour labour with DS1 I said to KH when are we having the next one? Pain relief is there if you need it.. and if you need it.. take it.. :D

jcr .. I wouldnt have one either.. mw or no mw .. Id rather be in pain at home where I am comfy than elsewhere where I am stressed and stroppy and unsafe. I had a mw say they were waiting for DD5 to die because I was difficult.. so I know how it feels.. I think there are very few decent mws that are actually human TBH. I am seriously considering asking OHs cousin to come deliver ours!

I woke up stuck in bed.. I could not move at all.. it took me ages.. I had somehow got onto my left side.. then rolled onto my front.. had my left, least painful leg hanging over the edge of the bed so I couldnt get it back on and my right leg in agony and on top of the covers and I couldnt move.. OH couldnt help because I didnt know how or what to move to not get massive pains.. so I kind of shuffled about for 15 minutes trying to get myself into a position I could move from. OH had to get Squeak lol.

Loads of people have told me it isn't bad, but then I read the Birth Stories on here and I think !!!!!!! I think my pain threshold isn't the worst so I'm hoping I can cope pretty well. People wouldn't keep having children if it was terrible.

Pigpen that does not sound good :( I'm thankful I have pain free use of my limbs.

Well other than the drama caused by medical staff.. I went in.. spawned a baby and came home.. they were completely uneventful (until after the birth when all hell let loose with a couple of them lol) I wouldnt even bother with a birth story they were so dull. As exciting as it got was... possibly.. the tear with DS1.. after the episiotomy.. and maybe DD4.. which was very scary but all down to the incompetance of the staff.. and noone died.. So if you look at it in terms of people only tell you the bad and scary bits and the birth stories NOT posted are too dull to mention!! .. there are more that dont put them up than do.. that is telling.

Ha this amused me, it's what I tell my dad when he's looking at reviews for hotels, "only people who have something to complain about will leave one, loads of people may have had a wonderful experience and they don't come home and write about it"

    Same principle I guess :p

Exactly.. that is why I take little notice of peoples stories which are often also highly exaggerated

I am worried for my DH! He wants to be a part of it, and will be there with me if circumstances allow, but he's terribly squeamish- they may need more G&A. :)

It's the bit about squeezing a watermelon through a ping-pong sized hole that's getting me- I have my mum to thank for that one. Yeah- the hotel review comparison is a good one. Must seem terribly wimpish to worry about it when thousands of people give birth every day!
I'm just worried in case it does go to complications with me, really.
Ohhh.... I want a labour like yours, Twinkle. :)
