Cute bump picture winnie :) xxx

Glad to hear flumpette is ok mimi :) xxx

Nothing much to report here today. I bought one of the Johnson's toiletries boxes from Asda for £10 yesterday. It has a few bits of toiletries but I mainly bought it to use for nappy changes etc so everything is in one place!

Is anyone going to the baby show in Manchester? We're planning to go and combine it with a visit back home :) Has anyone been to it before? What should we expect?

    Hi ladies!
Wow this thread moves fast. I haven't been on much, not much to report until now & didn't want to start over-thinking the whole giving birth thing. Yesterday I thought my waters broke: trickle in M&S, but I was too embarrassed to ask anyone if I was eligible for voucher :) I headed home & overnight had (TMI alert) first light pink leakage turning darker, still watery, & very painful period type cramps below my belly button. so in the morning I phoned the hospital. Went in and the lucky MW got to test my pad (they are do huge, like sitting on a pillow) & they sent me home with antibiotics. Apparently the discharge is an unusually watery & bloody show & the cramps a suspected urine infection.
Feel such a wimp; I was so set on natural labour, but if these cramps aren't even contractions I'll end up begging for a full anaesthesia!

Caelshorn, my friend had cramps like that on Wednesday and had her baby boy by Thursday, so there's hope yet :)

Caelshorn, Labours not so bad. Depends how 'natural' you want it!

G&A is fantastic imo, but I know some people don't like the fact that it makes you feel like you're blind drunk.

Doesn't necessarily stop the pain, but it makes you think it's funny, and talk crap :)

OH says I was coming out with all sorts of random things, it makes your voice go funny and I seem to vaguely recall saying something about sounding like Darth Vader :o:o

Oh and when I started to push and they said to stop because they had to examine me, they did this, and when they told me I could push I said no I can't I've still got my knickers on. They were like no we got rid of those to examine you. Doh :rotfl:

I don't mind being examined in labour but Dr.Keegiloggi-whatsit is not coming near me after being quite rude and then doing a sweep without my permission last time, and I'm not sure why she felt she needed to examine me at all. Anyway I realise they don't have many consultants and it was short notice at the low risk unit but she's not getting my pants off again.

    Morning....

Ugh..... Agreed to work the next eight days. I volunteered- we were so short, and there was no other way around it. Will take a shorter day next week if I feel I'm getting tired.. Should be okay though.
Ordered a couple of bits from Mothercare- just vest tops and training trousers, more to relax in than anything else. I have a stack of maternity jeans- they have never really been on me. They're too uncomfortable.
I don't mind being examined, I think... From what I've been told G&A and Remfentil (I know I've just invented another way of spelling that wrong again) are all I will be offered. It's a bit scary tbh, was told if I need a Caeserean it'll be under general anasethetic, and I probably won't get much notice- the consultant bluntly told me they'll knock me out and take baby out. The labour side is starting to get scary and real now, mainly because I have no idea of what to expect.

Edit! Woohoo! I'm not the only one up! Hi WW. :)
