I had twins that age last time, and they were both like it! If it helps now, they would do anything for their baby sister and are always proudly showing her off, and one of them just asked me for another baby sister. She doesn't know it yet but she'll be getting one :rotfl:
I've never had a letter for the doctors after birth, I feel left out
Must go and figure out how many weeks I am now, it must be almost MW time again.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Winnie - I wasn't entitled to SMP from work because I didn't earn enough. I only worked 10 hours a week. When I finally got my 'no' letter from work, I applied for SMA. I expected it to take weeks for it to come through. I posted it on a Thursday and rang the following Thursday to see if it had been received. They informed me that not only had it been received, but processed as well and I would get my first payment 23rd August! Yay! Got the confirmation letter and payment schedule 2 days later. Have never known a gov department with such a quick turn around!
Oh ideal, thats really good to know! I've known that I need to apply for it for a while but we've been coping well with me just getting SSP so I've been putting it off so I get the maximum amount of time when bubs gets here. Still got to wrestle the "no" letter out of my boss too, could be easier said than done!
Bless your DD too - all that squash lol0 -
DSD is clingier. She's just 11. We've already explained to her how things will be- she willingly gave up half her bedroom (not that she had much choice. Our house is on the market with zero interest).
She had a nightmare a couple of weeks ago, so I crawled into bed beside her, which was maybe a mistake- she told me the next day she loved our 'girly night', and the nightmares continued for a couple of weeks after that- I think the first was a genuine nightmare and the rest are attention based.
She's being great about it.0 -
my two boys havent been clingier, but they are 11 and 9 and boys lol they have helped out more around the house, ie dishwasher, helping with dinners, carrying shopping and putting away etc. these things are part of thier chores anyway but they have been doing it more regulary and without being asked
my younger son has looked after me really well bless him, always asks if im ok or if i want a foot rub and gives me loads of hugs, (if none of his mates are around ol)now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
An hours snooze on the sofa has resulted in... a dead arm.. hippo cankles.. and sharp pains in my hip and back and the dull pain I am almost used to being turned turned up 3 notches to unbearable again.
OH made me a cuppa whie i was asleep.. so it is now undrinkable and he just refused to make another.. so I am not going to get a drink until about 4;30 at the earliest as the boys ar at opticians in alf an hour and it takes me about 20 minute to walk the 2 minutes walk... afternoon all.
tried to read back all, but not really very comfy sitting at pc at mo.
Well bp is going down and m/w and i have agreed she won't check it daily as it will prob make me worry and then it will go up as i'll be dreading it going up.
midwife was very supportive .
i am now tho still in same amount of pain and still struggling, nothing has changed. i did tho manage 4 hours in one go sleep last night. not sure how, prob pure exhaustion. but i am determined i am not going back to the hospital until the 17th now, come hell or high water. and once baby is here and i'm home were complaining about that nasty midwife. but i am allowed to refuse ''care'' from that midwife if she is on while i'm up there so i will be doing that. i guess tho on the plus side a few minute after section she will prob be sending me home !
did a huge tesco shop last night which got deliveried this morning, got some last few baby suppplies and getting stuff sorted today. Hubby has took today off as he gonna work tomoz. so were gonna sort the car and see which order the seats are going to go in and see if the pram fit's. prob should of done that before buying the prams tho :rotfl: but i love the pram so it WILL fit !
thanks for all your concern everyone really nice to feel thought after.
i've got 3 hypo kids today, they are so funny but buzzing, no idea why.
anyway that prob my limit for sitting at desk, will keep you all informed.0 -

so now just gonna wait...............*please dont let me go over, i'm good to go now, oh and before you make an appearance, TURN ROUND*

Thanks for the info re: kicks / movements although I'm still none the wiser as it seems people have been told different things. Hmmmmm....
Sorry to hear you are in so much pain PP
The things I am most looking forward to are a glass of chilled white wine, runny eggs (which I rarely ate before!), being able to walk without a pain in my foof, not having to get up to wee every hour during the night, and being able to get off the sofa in one fluid movement rather than having to 'rock' myself up, or be hauled up by OH.
My bump looks huge today, I'm sure it wasn't that big yesterday
Our builder finished last night too so I've got my home backPeace and quite ...... bliss!!
