Every morning that I wake up without labour pains but with an active baby I get so annoyed. I'm thinking, keep still your supposed to calm down so i can go into labour!
I'm turning down today's sweep as I cannot see how a third will do anything. I've been tossing and Turning all night and my back still aches. I'm wide awake now so have had two flapjacks because I'm starving but have 3 hours till I need to leave for my check up. Whilst they want to induce me on Sunday I'm demanding they do it tomorrow because if they do it on Sunday I might not be able to get back from Lancaster hospital as dad will be back at work Monday. But if they do it tomorrow I'd hopefully be finished by Sunday evening! It would be more than 24 hours then for me to work this devil child out. I don't want to be stuck in that hospital. They'd attempt to chuck me out but it wouldn't happen as I wouldn't be able to leave.Money money money.

Oh dear, abby, I think I'd be getting a tad irrate by now. Maybe it will happen today! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I'm sorry Abby. You must be thoroughly hacked off now. I hope you manage to get your own way.
My midwife told me that the NICE guidelines actually recommend a sweep from full term with 1st time mums (later with mums who already have kids) but their policy is to wait 5 days. I said that I'd be quoting that at her when I see her at 40 weeks and she said that she'd have to look at giving it sooner. Anyway point is, see if you can check the NICE guidelines in case they help your request.
Hi to everyone else, hope you're all ok. Random confusing weather seems like a nice day in the making here so I'll get a wash on. Meeting friends for lunch later but other than that i haven't got plans for today. I may start to tackle the mound of ironing but then I probably won't!0 -
My ironing breeds, I'm convinced. I tackled a massive pile last week and managed to get it all finished and now I look again and a pile is staring at me again. Doesn't help my OH changes like 3 times a day :mad:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Sounds like your OH needs to do the ironing for a fortnight to realise how much ironing he creates!!0

Me too, as I would prefer to keep as much dosh as possible for when I am on maternity leave so that I can have as long as possible at home with baby. We've been lucky in that both my sisters have had kids so lots of hand me downs. Other than clothes and nappies the only thing I have bought so far is bottles and steriliser. Obviously need to get sheets and blankets etc.
Has anyone who entered the Nuby breast pump thingamejig had a confirmation email or anything that they have received your photo. I sent mine 2 or 3 days ago but haven't heard anything back.
Can't remember who posted about the hedgehog blanket at Matalan, but do you have a link to it?0 -

I'm in NI- you're Belfast? I'm more than happy to meet up, feel free to PM me if you're interested.
Aw that's so kindYep Belfast. I'm waiting to hear back about a job today so fingers crossed! I will PM you after the weekend, going back to OH's parents today to deliver the good news.

No problem! I'm just north of Belfast, and work in the centre- all my friends and family are in NI, but are close to 50 miles away- the bigger I get the less inclined I am to drive down.....
So stuck in a similar boat to you, kind of....
DH massaged my back last night- I love him even more now.... My back is killing me, will definitely mention it at next appointment I have with anyone.... Going to see Haemophiliac doc on Wednesday now. Just ordered four vests from Mothercare for £10- had to admit my clothing was starting to look a bit bizarre....0 -
