To be fair I am also a student who will be a single parent technically! So I am not in the same position as someone who works and has the ability to buy new things for their little one. The lime green pushchair is new though..........you won't miss me in the dark, its so bright its practically glow in the dark

Edit: And I just like recycling!! Apart from the white baby gros with stains on...they will be hidden at the back of the cupboard ^^

lol sorry this made me laugh, to be fair though me and hubby both work and rent out a property and we dont have spare cash to buy brand new either, everything we have got is bought second hand from friends or shop soiled etc, and i love a bit of freecycle only thing brand new is the mattresses and sheets, all stuff w ehave for nursery is been in the sale etc.

oh all bottles and steriliser etc is brand new too as i had loads of discount vouchers and they were in the sale too and didnt want them second hand

even if we had the money to get everyhting brand new i would still find the bargains as i cant stand paying full price lol.

my most enjoyable experience was using a £3 huggies voucher to buy 27 huggies nappies at £3.29 for 29 pence from Home Bargains.

Asda baby week starts next week, I might just come home with a million boxes of wipes. A MILLION I SWEAR!

One thing we do still need to get is reusable nappies. I'm planning on using terries with the motherease wraps so will probably get them next pay day.

Is there anyone else planning on using reuseables? Which ones are you going to go for? Has anyone used terries before?

I've bought the bambino mio nappies. Last time I had some bamboo shaped nappies, and tho great, were too dear to buy enough and took ages to dry. The bambino mio ones were MUCH cheaper and because they aren't shaped, will dry quickly. Also, the inners are the same size in newborn and small, and as I bought a set of each, only the wraps are different. Mothercare had a great offer on the sets, think they still do. The bamboo nappies cost me £55 for 5 nappies and 1 wrap, whereas Bambino mio were £22 for 3 wraps and 12 inners.
Also bought little muslin squares as nappy wipes. Hope this isn't one step too far! :D
Have 2 packs of natures baby care nappies for hospital, as they don't allow reusables, and wanted to make the first week easier. Forgot until Abby said, that the first poos might be better in disposables! I'm hoping the OH will deal with those:)

Hi everyone! It sounds like some of you have got some fab bargains! I've done a mix of second hand and new. Got great bargains on nursery furniture and pram and mother in law bought cotbed and Moses so whilst they were new, they didn't cost me a penny. I've mainly got new clothes and bedding etc but again it's mostly from others. This is the first baby on my side of the family and the word excitement doesn't cover it! Although I am a bargain hunter I have been getting new bits myself too. This will be my only baby and I'm super excited. So probably wasted some money but on this occasion I don't care! I know that'll get me shot by most of you!

Bump pics are great. I haven't got a clue how to get photos on here but that's probably a blessing for you lot!

I hope we have some news from Sequeena tomorrow?!

    Good luck sleeping everyone!

Every morning that I wake up without labour pains but with an active baby I get so annoyed. I'm thinking, keep still your supposed to calm down so i can go into labour!

I'm turning down today's sweep as I cannot see how a third will do anything. I've been tossing and Turning all night and my back still aches. I'm wide awake now so have had two flapjacks because I'm starving but have 3 hours till I need to leave for my check up. Whilst they want to induce me on Sunday I'm demanding they do it tomorrow because if they do it on Sunday I might not be able to get back from Lancaster hospital as dad will be back at work Monday. But if they do it tomorrow I'd hopefully be finished by Sunday evening! It would be more than 24 hours then for me to work this devil child out. I don't want to be stuck in that hospital. They'd attempt to chuck me out but it wouldn't happen as I wouldn't be able to leave.
