I don't want people to say "ooh what's his name" if it's a girl and vice versa :o

I'm tempted to go back and get more stuff, H&M had loads of lovely things and so cheap too!

What happens if your mum was early having you?!?!?!

Gilly hun I had DS1 dressed top to foot in blue and I was asked what HER name was!!! People don't think before they speak sometimes! You could be early if your mum was but I'm not sure that theory holds true

Gilly, but the possibilities there are good. If they get the gender wrong, and it's someone you're not that fond of, you can glare at them until they slope away.... :)

If only, I don't know anyone here :( I'll be grateful for the chat if someone decides to stop and talk to me, even if they do call my girl a boy or vice versa.

Awww Gilly you will find that a baby is a great conversation starter. Whereabouts in the country are you? If you don't want to say on here say just whereabouts i.e. north, south, east, west etc etc!

Northern Ireland. Not long moved here and trying hard to get a job, quit the job I had to come here and it's so difficult to meet adults!

When you have baby your health visitor will be able to tell you about playgroups etc that you could go to with baby. They can be a bit daunting and I personally haven't really used them as I have friends with kids I visit more, but they would be great for meeting other parents. Do they do NCT/Parentcraft classes there?

abby when i was induced with my dd, they used a gel and within half hour of it being put in, i was contracting. i'd fully dilated within an hour and was pushing. unfortunatly she was an undisnogsed breech and althoguh some breeches can be delivered she was too awkward.

so if you are induced remain positive that it can happen very very quick, i know there are stories when it takes a while, but hopefully if your induced it will be nice and speedy like it was for me.

I thought it was a pill that they stuck behind ones cervix or a drip? I am NOT having needles in my hand without amotep. I love the stuff, when i had my last blood test I couldn't feel a thing. Shame I wasn't prescribed it before the 7 previous blood tests then I'd not have freaked out so much! The midwife laughed this time when I asked her to get on with it, she had already gotten 3 vials out of me I just thought she had her hand on my arm.

So. If they want to induce me with an iv drip thing I will be running out of the ward, sorry waddling at high speed. Ok by high speed we all know I mean rocking violently from side to side but not moving anywhere fast

Ooooh also Abby saw this today and took a wee picture for you, I thought it was you who liked hawaiian style stuff? Thought this would be cute for when your baby was little and maybe too small for a shirt, it's in the sale in Mothercare
