Congratulations smileyface:j Wow, 38hours in labour - well done you.

My pram wasn't delivered yesterday, apparently baby plan orders are delivered a day later in NI than it states on the invoice. Its a good job I rang at lunchtime to get an idea of the delivery time as I'd have been raging at staying in all day for nothing. Ah well, OH is staying in today to wait for it and I am off to get my hair cut so I look halfway presentable for the birth:rotfl:

Have a good day everyone and labour vibes to all who want them x

Pigpen - did you say it was tea on the laptop? Have you tried bunging it in the airing cupboard, upside down with the lid open?

Nope.. It was too late by the time we found it dripping.. and I dont have an airing cupboard... and there is so much sugar in my tea it is just dead... but I have an excuse not to email anyone :p

You can have my waste of time physio (Thursday 11:30amish.. I think.. ).. Diane isnt good eye candy but from what I have been told the last 2 years she is nice enough... shame she cant send out appointments .. ggggggrrrrrrrrrrr .....

Expecting them to send me back to the gorgeous but useless physio too. I swear he's no good for anything apart from the eyes :rotfl:

Glad there's at least one upside to your being in pain winnie:p

  • congrats to our new arrivals and good luck for Sequeena and Abby and all others MIA x

I'm finally in single digits eek! and have only two days left in work

    smiley-bounce016.gif

I cannot wait to be home and start sorting out our place... was late in today as we're having our ceiling plastered and I had to explain to the builders about which furniture they could or shouldn't move (I have a very delicate dining table and a very nervous OH) Hopefully the scaffolding outside will go down today too... Today's rain will be the test though - hopefully our days of watching the ceiling nervously are over.

Had fun last night out with some friends - bump was wriggling like a wild thing showing off. I wonder which way up it is now - I guess I'll find out next week at my 36(37) week appointment - hopefully still head down but the tickles and thumps in my pelvic area suggest not. Still I get some nice little lumps up high which could be feet.

Need to do my hospital bag too and try to figure out how I'm going to get all the stuff we've got at my mum's back from Wales... Mum's babysitting my great aunt for two weeks and doesn't want to bring her down to London but then I'm not keen on driving up to fetch stuff either - the only advantage to going and getting it early myself is that I can arrange the cradle etc the way I want it and not how mum 'suggests' OH thinks bubs will be late and so I shouldn't worry and that I will rearrange it all once she's gone anyway.

This weekend I have to buy a mattress protector and a new curtain for our bedroom and then make room for baby things. We also want to wash our carrycot linings (they're new but smell a bit chemically) so need to choose a non bio powder and hope for more hot weather to dry them out again.

aaargh should really get back to work - I have to try and clean my desk today and write a primer for the person taking over the job I'm in charge of. Hope all are feeling less sticky and that we get more good news soon...

ps welcome to the newbies and love to all xx

    Morning all :)

Not posted for ages been to tired, I have been having a read though :)

congrats on all the births and labour vibes to those in need

I am so tired but cant sleep, i'm on iron tablets and i'm just miserable! my legs are constantly aching and I feel sickly with heartburn most of the time :( right moan over! :) 32+6 today went to midwife and I'm measuring 34cm she said we'll see what i'm measuring then and take it from there

Need to get my backside in gear and get organised, just wondering has enyone any experience of baby bedding from amazon, i'm not bothering with fancy matching items just plain sheets and blankets, amazon prices seem pretty reasonable? i think they where £5.69 for 2 moses basket fitted sheets is this cheap?

    Morning Ladies

Congrats Smiley  and here's hoping Abby pops soon!!

Im on day 5 of surviving on 2-3 hours sleep a night, i dont think i can take much more, i was in tears last night as im soooo tired but just cant sleep. Im too hot/uncomfortable plus have all the stress of getting evil tenants out of house - hopefully will be next week, i rang the council this morn and they have found them a new property, if they dont leave i can instruct court bailiffs to evict them.
It also looks like completion on new house will be 2 weeks before baby is due - i just want to get in there and get carpets ripped up and chuck around a load of paint to make it liveable for now, so need baby to stay put until at least 10th Sept.

Talking about due dates, i was pretty sure mine should be 6th Sept as my last period was 6th Dec, but i did have a bleed for 2 days on 21st Dec. I know its not an exact science so am just going with the flow. I know if Peanut isnt here by 22nd Sept she will be coming out through the sun roof as they dont want me going any longer than that.

Have a good day all, Labour vibes to all that want them xxx

Seems reasonable enough Bella? I've ebayed, freecycled, or amazoned most things.... I'd love to get new stuff for baby, but I took over DH's finances and we're on a strict plan..... Bedding I haven't even looked at, as I need to get my sister's Moses basket first....
Baby won't notice or care if it's in Gap or Asda anyway! Nursing chair's had tempted me- but we have a massive beanbag in our hall, and the compromise is a beautiful throw to go over it. :) Two of my sisters have forbidden me to buy anything until I come and plunder their house, and I'd hope to god that Hitchhiker doesn't have an allergy to wool, as my MIL, mum, Granny and DSD are all apparantly trying to deplete the UK's stock of available wool. :)

Missy- evil tenants will soon be a story told over a drink.... :)

Nope.. 13th Sept by your dates... it is 9 months plus 1 week from the first day of your period.. so the 14th is a good estimate by scan..

Think I will go with the amazon sheets, they seem to have good reviews too :) moses basket is coming out of the loft this weekend so the cover will need washing and need new mattress too :) need to start getting hospital bag ready, havent bought nothing for me yet oops

I feel your pain missy with the lack of sleep I've been getting about 4 - 5 hours of broken sleep per night sometimes less, got up at 4:30 yesterday morning cause I was sick of lying there uncomfortable, plus the evil tenants will be out soon enough :) xxx

morning all, very wet day down here on island. oh boy i don't mind, but when raincoat doesn't fit and feet are so swallon i can only wear flip flops i do just have to laugh. took kids to eco warriors and its on a farm. so you can imagine flip flop, lots of rain and farm. :rotfl: ah well the older 2 children are so happy. and once my youngest gets out of snuggly mood were cake making.

As for dates changing, when i had my 32 weeks scan baby was measruing 35 weeks. but they didn't change my dates they just said he gonna be a big baby prob a 10lber. as he was 5lb 8 then. but my tummy was still measuring 32 weeks.

having said that i'm huge now, but got told i've got lots of fluid, so maybe baby isn't gonna be as big
