Congratulations Smiley:T
I have been seriously nesting this morning. REALLY needed to clean all the windows and mirrors before even venturing downstairs this morning. Then hoovered and mopped the kitchen floor and wiped down all the surfaces. Hoovered around the lounge in all the nooks and crannies that don't normally get touched and now off to sort out the embarrassment that is our [STRIKE]dumping ground[/STRIKE] study.
Two friends have said this is a good sign baby will arrive soon but I cannot allow myself to get my hopes up. No I think its more that I am actually not so hot today and have actually managed to acquire the motivation to sort my house out.
Labour vibes Abby and Sequeena xxLeo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
oh abby u do make me laugh , i love how completely honest and open you are, sending you lots of labour vibes and i hope your lil man comes soon.
yah no more rain here, but our park trip has changed to an evenign of wii playing. i'm gonna be shattered. i'm shattered already.
labour vibes also to all those who need them.0 -
I'm in bed at the moment with ear plugs in to drown out the siblings, a fan on because I feel hot even Though it's cold and miserable and eye mask to block out the light.
I just feel blergh. I am not blocked up so why does my back huuuuurrrtttt. Well it doesn't hurt it's just achy. And baby has hiccups I think. He is doing something suspiciously like hiccuping without the usual rhythm. Now I've typed that it's progressed into full on hiccups
I'm supposed to go the hospital for another sweep tomorrow but frankly I cannot be arnolded as I see no point! I'll go for my checkup and I'm sure they will book me in for an induction (mums against the idea and says I should turn it down because she thinks he will come when he is ready). I see the point about inductions but I kinda want him out so I can start sorting student finance out and I can't till i have his birth certificate. That makes me sound selfish and uncaring about his welfare but the two week delay means I have two weeks less to get student finance to sort out my change of circumstancesMoney money money.

Okay managed to get my Giraffe outfit today, it was £5.99, can't remember who it was who asked me here it is
first thing I've bought, so exciting.
Ooooh also Abby saw this today and took a wee picture for you, I thought it was you who liked hawaiian style stuff? Thought this would be cute for when your baby was little and maybe too small for a shirt, it's in the sale in MothercareThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
abby when i was induced with my dd, they used a gel and within half hour of it being put in, i was contracting. i'd fully dilated within an hour and was pushing. unfortunatly she was an undisnogsed breech and althoguh some breeches can be delivered she was too awkward.
so if you are induced remain positive that it can happen very very quick, i know there are stories when it takes a while, but hopefully if your induced it will be nice and speedy like it was for me.0 -
It was me Gilly thanks! That is so cute but there is no way DH would let his 3rd boy be dressed in a giraffe outfit lol!
Abby personally I would prefer not to be induced again but it is upto individual people. I had a long labour with DS1 but it wasn't anywhere near as painful as DS2 as I went into labour naturally. Being induced with DS2 wasn't nice at all and I ended up with an epidural then an emergency c-section. I guess being induced is making your body do something it isn't ready to do. But as I say, it's a very personal decision and I understand you just want baby out right now!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Do you think it's suitable for a boy?
I don't know what I'm having yet, if I keep going the way I'm going I'll be having a giraffe
They had loads of other animals, the turtle one was adorable! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Of course it is!! It's so cute I love it but DH is a very manly rugby type so I think he would ban it! He hated that I bought a lilac pram blanket for DS1 once lol!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
DSD's 11th birthday today- she's been dropping hints of a trampoline in the garden.
She can't see the logistics of how or where it would fit in our tiny garden, and think's it's a perfectly reasonable request that I bounce over it to get in my back door.
Hitchhiker's decided to move a good bit today- weird, but nice, that snakey feeling- but reminds me I've watched too many horror films.... Also feels like he's wearing a birthday hat, as I keep feeling as if I'm being poked....
On gender, we've went 50/50. I'm voting for boy, DH is firmly in 'girl' camp. That way, dinner's on whoever has 'A-ha! I told you so!' shouted at them when baby arrives......:)
Abby, he's being fashionably late. you now have the right to remind him of this every single time he annoys you when he's born. My mother still does, and I'm 30.
Any outfit's suitable for any child. Victorian's used to dress their boys in pink, and it wasn't long ago males would be given girls names in order that they learnt to be tough and fight for themselves in England.0 -
DS1 was 13 days late, DS2 12 days late but induced so I think he would have gone to the 13 or even 14 days if he had been allowed. This one is an elective c-section at 39 weeks - bliss!!!!!!!!!
Edited to add me and my sister were both 2 weeks late. Apparently if your mum was late having you, your babies will be late?Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0
