Do I feel sad that I am leaving after 4 years of barely one day off sick....uh no. I'm too excited for words. I bought cakes for the office and we're off for drinks at lunch and then I'm freeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Labour vibes to all that need them

I'm not going to lie, that sounded very rude to me!
Well today the oddest thing happened, I had a letter a few days ago to say housing benefit (lha) application was approved. Now I know usually with MOST if not all councils the first payment is by cheque to the landlord. So why is mine in my bank account? It doesn't matter either way as I have paid Augusts rent already, this will go towards Septembers (basically I've worked out I can pay septembers with my HB I accumulate for July and August) rent as my student loan isn't in till the 26th. But why have they put the first payment in my account. I just don't understand why I am special:cool:Money money money.

Morning all! Have had my home visit from MW this morning - she is so much nicer than my usual midwife - wish I had her from the start. She was quite annoyed that I haven't been seen since 36 weeks as she measured bump and it's measuring 34 when it should be 39 so I've been booked in for a late scan next week just to guage the size of baby. She told me not to be too worried, it's likely because baby has dropped but as I haven't been seen for a number of weeks and my bp was slightly high, she'd rather be safe than sorry!
Apparently they don't do the sweep until 41 weeks here - hoping I don't need one and that baby arrives before that!
Happy Maternity leave to Doglover, Claireloo and MSFC!

Is anybody getting a base for the car seat in the car? I have a maxi cosi cabriofix car seat and wasn't going to bother with a base but Im thinking it'll probably be much easier - especially as the seat is going to be used for about 9 months so that's a lot of faffing around with seatbelts!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Did you specify rent to be paid directly to LL? If not it will go to you each time until you tell HB to pay it to them, then LL needs to complete a form with their details on and be set up on your local councils system. HTH xxDue 26th July, team yellow0 -

i had to get one stupid car has long seat belts and nearly all car seats cause buckle crunch . was planning on getting 0-4yr one as works out cheaper but it doesnt fit. and 0-9mnth wont fit without base. but actually im now glad as it will be much easier. we have got the 0-4yr one for OHs car

I didn't have one with DS1 (don't think they were available tbh!) and I don't remember getting fed up with seatbelt faffing! We've got the britax car seat this time and at the moment we haven't bought the base for it but we're going to see how we get on and if its a pain we'll buy one then!
That wasn't really an answer was it lol sorry0 -
just got home from hospital, had to rush Little legs in yesterday, had not one wink of sleep, i desperately need to lie down but got to keep checking her hourly, she's shattered, i'm shattered, baby is doing the can can in my belly so i doubt i'd sleep if i triedSkint, but happy (ish):p0

Apricot - we got the Maxi Cosi isofix base, it can be used on the next sized up car seat too.... http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_822+329_10751_-1_14574_98064_10001_14574
There are cheaper ones but this we were happy with the next one up (pearl) so decided might as well get a base that would do both.
I am so short I actually couldn't reach around the car seat to the seatbelt plug thing without smothering a baby with my boobs!
Does depend what car you've got though, OH has a focus and there's no Isofix attachments in his car.Bump due 22nd September0 -

But apparantly you can get Ford to 'post-fix' the Isofix fixings into it for not much money. I've got an old Focus without them too, but OH has a newer car with them and I read I could get mine to match to make things easier but not sure I will. We'll probably use the base in OH's and the seatbelt in mine with the same seat (can't decide to go for Pebble or Cabriofix)
