And this morning I have a corker of a headache.. !!!!!!... Just 1 day off from it!!!!!!!
I did say I will be glad when this great long baby is out... OH said he wil be too... so I am obviously being lovely lol.
I don't think the issues are down to being under resourced they are down to prejudices and lack of training and attitude problems.. You don't have to say things like 'Oh we are waiting for the baby to be dead because she is a difficult cow'... that is nothing to do with staffing. Incompetant surgeons and being too eager to use them, God Complexes and just being a-holes is more than enough to deal with.
Winnie.. don't scratch the tum.. it makes the stretch marks much worse... moisturise when really itchy.. it is much more soothing.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Snap! My birth plan took about 2 mins to complete! Pain relief section - I'll decide when I'm there!
I am actually quite looking forward to giving birth! I'm hoping this will mean that my body produces them good hormones endo-somethings!!
Good news on uni too :T:heart2: Mummy to one gorgeous little girl :heart2:0 -
As of 5 minutes ago I officially passed the year. I will admit I got basically a 3rd class mark for my essay but I hated writing it and I didn't expect any more. And it doesn't really matter because I got firsts and upper seconds on the rest of my essays. I just wrote this in a day thinking "I hate Shakespeare I hate Shakespeare"
I don't hate Shakespeare I just hate how he is "taught" at my university, I hate analysing him, I just like to listen and watch and laugh and not have to examine EVERY P*SSING DETAIL. It makes me mad. No Shakespeare modules next year. Yay. I can maybe fall back in love with him, but its going to take a while.Money money money.

My birth plan took less time.... I wrote.. 'what's the point noone takes any notice' after being forced by the MW to write something... I also wrote it in huuuuuge letters so it couldn't be missed and not one person asked for it.. to the point I still have my notes here!.. From Squeak... I also have the notes from DD1, DS2, DD2, DS3, DD3's went in the bin, DD4's, DD5's and Squeaks.... all here.. I took them to the hospital and noone asked for them.. so out of 9 children I have the hand held notes from 7 of them.
Birth plans are an active way of making you THINK you have any control over what they do to you...
If you don't know what to expect how can you possibly make an informed choice as to what you would like/not like? It is stuff like this that makes mums feel like they 'failed'.. because they choose to have an epidural for example after saying they didn't want one... I am all for going with the flow.. you have no idea what will happen.. personally I am hoping for a bathroom floor 15 minute delivery.. you cannot plan for the unknown.
(I shall try to remove the pedantic head... it is annoying me too)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi all,
I haven't even thought about my birth plan yet (I'm still considering delegating that part...) as I've no idea what to put into it. Is there a template anywhere I can just fill in so I cover everything? Everyone I talk to says not to bother as it never goes to plan anyway! A water birth appeals (or a 'mobile' epidural if it's that bad) but that's only if it's free when I get to hospital - knowing my luck it won't be so what's the point?
Anyone else STUPIDLY thirsty? I think about drinking constantly and am never satisfied. My GTT came back fine the other week so it can't be diabetes
Labour vibes for everyone who wants them!

Well the midwife did come over to my house and do a birth plan but it was things like do you want an epidural, my response was no! She asked me about 4 questions in total. I know to expect pain and hours and hours and hours potentially of labour but I just don't like examining the whole event before it happens or I will get worked up.Money money money.

I'm not bothering with a birth plan, didn't bother last time either! Don't see the point at all - at the end of the day there is a baby in there that needs to come out one way or another, not really bothered how as long as we're both in one piece and breathing at the end of it!0

Sorry Kazzy, missed your earlier post....
I have got a gym ball to bounce on.....from antenatal classes they suggest that they can help get baby into the right position. More importantly - I find it really comfy to sit and bounce on it!! Doesnt hurt my hips at all!:heart2: Mummy to one gorgeous little girl :heart2:0 -
no birth plan here either, never been asked to do one this time around, or before, i just wanna be in an out as soon as possible......past 2 births have been easy, fingers crossed for this one too
i always think of my nanna when i get worried or nervous about labour, she had 13 kids with no drugs and is she did it and survived, so can i, altho i doubt very much i'll have 13, lol!
i'm still having dizzy spells, cold sweats, palpitations ect every day at more or less the same time each day, lasting about 30 mins, i think it's just something i have to contend with til madam is here
baby feels very heavy when i'm walking, really uncomfortable, roll on thursday when i dont have to do the school walk anymore!
hope ladies and bumps are all wellSkint, but happy (ish):p0
