Starjumps for me then!! Maybe first thing in the morning when i feel like I have a little more energy! In the meantime I think I'll have a bounce on the gym ball! I dont seem to have balanced the food / freezer space ratio very well!! I have lots of frozen meats and fish that i intend to batch cook, but i've ran out of space in the freezer! So far though I have about 8 meals prepared, and my mum has done me some too. Bless her!! Might have to eat out of the freezer for a while to make some space!!

I dyed my hair yesterday in preperation for the hospital snaps, I have the eyebrows left to do too........Plus legs and bikini line - which is just stupid difficult!! a wax might be on the cards! so pretty picture at this end too!!! pregnancy perogitive i believe!! I'vee worn make up once in the last week...my skin should be flawless by the time i have pics taken....sods law dictates that I'll be spotty, blotchy and hairy!!

    aawww sparkle he is gorgeous.

does anyone have any tips of how to relieve the pressure from babyies head getting engaged ?

i saw midwife today becuase tbh i bearly made it to school this morning the pressure down below was so immesnce . anyway midwife said it will get worse, lol and babyies head is right down. he isn't fully engaged 5/5 he is about 1/5 or 2/5 ( i can't remember now ) so i know there is a way to go, but i'm wondering if there are any tips to help make it a bit mroe comfy. i've had a fab hot soak in bath with has helped slightly, but i still feel very heavy and tbh today i just feel like i'm really just worn out.

my back ache and period pains just won't go. and to make matters worse i been living off ibrofen to just ease the pain, midiwfe told me today it is dangerous in last 3 months of pregnancy. no one told me that. it safe early on, but not late on. so i had a good cry thinking thats i've damaged my baby in some way. but hopefully i can get a script at hospital tomoz for somethign stronger which is safe. i can't explain how stupid, awful, sick it made me feel hearing it was dangerous. i just never imagined that something safe to start with wouldn't be safe in last 3 months.

on plus side tho 30 more sleeps and our gorgeous little man will be here. that is so keeping me going. i can't wait for hubby and i to meet him and introduce him to his brothers and sisters.

Thanks smiley and apricot. I'll request my labour vibes in a week and a half then. I doubt I'll be star jumping though!

JCR I'm sorry you're feeling down. I'm sure your little boy will be fine and he'll be here soon enough to prove it himself!

My back hurts so much I want to scream... I hate back ache....

The pain everywhere else is evil too but it is hurting to breathe at the moment...

apparently the physio is ringing me next week, though she doesn't think there is anything she can do though so it will be a waste of time a usual and as I thought.. my last lot of bloods my antibodies had increased tenfold..but still nowhere near concerning levels.

The MW who hassled me when having Squeak last year sadly died in February :( I didn't think much to her but she wasn't old and any sudden loss is sad. :(

Silly MW tried getting me to join some idiotic group for people who have had PTSD after a birth... idiot.. Is it just me thinks it is disgusting there should even be a need for something like this? Anyway, I've srvived this long I doubt it'll kill me.. she tried makin me promise to contact her or tell OH or speak to someone and get help if I 'start' feeling depressed/low/unhappy... I just said no, I will not make a promise I won't keep.

morning all, ;abour vibes to those who want them, hope everyone is doing well.

pigpen, groups work for some people, i personally dont like them but for those that do use them and need them they can be a life line, not everyone is strong enough to cope on thier own.

stressed out with the kids again this morning, well just my eldest really, he really is winding me up at the moment with his attitude argh, hubby will be home thurs evening though its been a looooong month. feeling really teary this morning. cant believe i can get so wound up over a child, especially as he is mine lol.

well kids are at school so im off to have a bath and try to relax. hope you all have a good day

    Morning all :)

JCR - don't punish yourself. Not the same thing, but i have eaten things that are on the naughty list being pregnant - all in the thought that guidelines on whats safe etc is forever changing. My mother was advised polar opposites to everything we are told now and she had 3 healthy babies......you name it she was told to eat it! Liver, even was advised to have a guiness everynight to increase iron levels! Advice changes.....so chin up :)

I am also slightly jealous that you have the downwards pressure!!! I WANT SOME!! I'm due in 9 days and feel nothing!! I'm hoping that because everyone says that by this time you should be feeling fed-up and uncomfy and just want baby out, that maybe i have built the end stages of pregnancy up to be something that it isn't! Maybe i am feeling pressure and I am uncomfy - but i imagined it would be worse???? Here's hoping!! I'll ask the midwife tomorrow!! Not sure what she'll be able to tell me! But still, she's there to answer my questions.....

Pigpen - hope your aches and pains are easier today

Mirror - have a nice soak and look forward to seeing your hubby this week :)

Just a quick one..... has anyone experience the water retention in the tummy / stretch marks? Right underneath my belly button I have very loose skin with fluid in - i've been told to massage downwards to try and get the fluid into the lymph glands, but no avail!! It's no biggy, but I keep playing with the loose skin!!

Hi everyone! I dont really post here but sometimes I read to see how everyone is getting on and watching my due date move closer to the top. Im due on Thursday and have been having loads of braxton hicks for the past few weeks which have gotten quite strong but I went yesterday for my appointment at the hospital and the babies head isnt even engaged its still free :( she also tried to do a sweep (never want one again!) but couldnt do it because my cervix was high and closed. Ive been booked in now for an induction on 1st august and feel really nervous about it! Does anyone have any tips on what I can try to do to help? Im finding it hard to walk far because my ankles are so swollen, even my knees are swollen and this morning I could feel that the tops of my hips were swollen when I was trying to get out of bed! Very glamourous lol!

Thanks so much for any tips!

    hi all.

Abby - I'm due 2 days after you, i think my little one isn't in any rush to get out. I'm not truely uncomfertable. I have sore hips, walk like a duck, always feels like I need to pee - but thats about it? I'm 38+4 today - so im not expecting any early arrivals on the basis that i don't feel any different.......but as a first timer i'll be glad to be put right buy some of you more experienced ladies!!

Haaaaa, experienced. Thats not me! I just take it as it comes. I literally don't have a birth plan, I fully intend to go in there and just see what happens. I'm more comfortable like that.

But my pelvic girdle pain has calmed down, I mean if I walk to asda and back I'm dead but it doesn't hurt I can just feel the strain. I had my first encounter with the baby's foot in my rib today. That was fun

OHHH I also recieved my letter back from university to say that the Unfair Practice Board had met about my "plaigerism" and have decided to award me the full marks I can get (not that I know what that is yet) as it was accidental blah blah...now I would just like them to update the system

I think its shocking that there is a need for something like this! I mean PTSD after something as supposedly "natural" as giving birth is surely an indication of how under resourced maternity services are? And they are making more cuts to them... how about training the staff properly so PTSD doesn't even become an issue! *climbs down from soapbox*

We're having problems with attitude in this house too Mirror - so you have my sympathy! Just don't feel strong enough to deal with it either. Enjoy your bath and a few hours of peace while they're at school :)

Can't help with water retention I'm afraid Smiley, got loads of stretch marks but definitely no loose skin on my belly, its as tight as a drum and REALLY itchy!

JCR don't worry about the ibruprofen, I'm sure your little man will be just perfect and he'll be here in no time at all :)

In all sorts of pain today, my legs are barely supporting my weight and are all hot and itchy and my hips are actually painful to the touch :( had to get the crutches out just to get down the hallway :(

Anyway, going to try a warm bath if I can get up the stairs. Hope everyone is ok, labour vibes to whoever wants them and please be careful doing all these star jumps lol xx
