I did ask my doc if they should be tested for brittle bones
she said no it was all fairly normal stuff but come back if they break any more! They best not break any more bones, I can't handle any more hospital visits, and their Dad always tries to say OH or me is beating them  like that helps when you're trying to sort out someone to have the others and console a heartbroken child!
Last time twin2 did hers they put wires in, and then told her she couldn't have a coloured hard cast because they can stop it being visible if it goes bad, and she cried her eyes out, until the doctor doing it took pity on her and let her have pink from the elbow down, she had the only two tone cast I've ever seen
It's really cold and wet here today, I'm shivering
I keep looking at tiny baby clothes... must hold back until scan. If bump is pink then I don't need to buy really anything except for some warmer stuff because this will be a winter baby.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thanks Delain! Yeah, that's a nice positive angle....
I'm actually wincing at some childhood memories and praying my child is nothing like we were....
Mine are exactly like it, worse in fact because they are all completely clueless (they have varying issues) so I don't let them out alone at almost 9 and 7.
DD1 is a total dreamer and very easily led, can see her getting into trouble. and the twins would just go off with anyone
Twin 2 (the one with two broken arms) put beads up her nose. Idiot child.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

When he first broke it he chose a lovely blue colour for the cast. When it was re-plastered 2 weeks ago at our little town hospital they only had bright yellow available! You can imagine how grubby it is now - yuck!
When is your scan delain?Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Just a quickie - someone (sorry can't remember who) said about Tens Machines from Lloyds.
Been looking on there for myself and the general pain relief ones say not suitable for pregnancy/labour... and the mum to be ones are all out of stock! :-(Bump due 22nd September0 -

They are quite difficult about testing for it as the test costs thousands and only a few hospitals do it... on a plus note.. IF they have a huge problem just giving birth to them breaks bones! They break bones doing normal daily acivities.. playing football (being tackled), trips and falls etc. It often doesn't become apparent until teenage years possibly because they are given more freedom or are just heavier so moreforce is put into a fall.
One of the main things they look for believe it or not.. in the colour of the eyes.. The whites of the eyes are usually blue.. not just a blueish tinge but actually blue.. and the outside of the iris is very very dark blue which on its own is also normal.
My great aunt, uncle and 2 cousins have osteogenesisimperfecta so we have plenty of experience with it. One of my cousins didn't show any sign at all until he hit puberty.. the other broke his arm falling off the toilet when being toilet trained at about 2. At the worst my aunt had my uncle with BOTH legs in plaster having lifted the older cousin up his boots sank into wet mud and he broke both legs just below the knee. The older cousin with his arm in plaster and the next day my other cousin broke an arm and a leg playing football... It is also linked to some types of arthritis

Been out to get a couple of bits for hospital bag, thought I'd share my Home Bargain finds...
Kotex Maxi Night Pads, pack of 10. Look massive! Says on the packet suitable for post childbirth 99p
Watersons Tuna Meal - a pasta and tuna meal in a plastic dish, lasts months without being in the fridge, can't be that good for you but I thought might be ideal for labour as it can stay in the bag until required. 99p
Johnsons 3 in 1 face wipes - massive pack £1.99
Went into Boots, everything is soooo dear compared to supermarkets and no decent offers on baby things. Very dissapointing.
I appear to have a bowling ball pressing on my lady bits from above, it's agony to walk etc. Bump is also really really low, head has been down for a couple of weeks but now my bump seems to be coming out of my pubic bone rather than my ribs. :-(Bump due 22nd September0
