So PLEASE do tell -- *where* is this thread? Could you include a _link_ to the posts you choose as winners? It can take forever for non-adepts to find the article in question otherwise.

Hi Richard, look at the link for the MArch grocery challenge in my signature.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

That link takes me to the tips page which has no such thing as March Grocery on it. It's the main page fopr tips. So I tried CHAT Forums and couldn't see anything there. So I did a search on grocery challenge and *still* could find nothing.
When I say a link to the post comcerned I mean *a link to the post concerned* because, as I said, for non adept forum navigators finding an individual post is a nightmare.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. That takes you to the March grocery challenge. These monthly challenges actually started in February.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
Thanks tiff. It really isn't easy for us newbies to find things that you old hands are so expert at. Sometimes you don't seem to realise that not eveyone is as well up on things as you are. Er, that's a _generic_ you. I've seen post such as "..I really liked that post by martin..." yeah, right, like I'm going to find that!
I did recently suggest to the webmaster that the notification of the winning post in the newsletter should contain its location and not simply point to the post that nominates it - especially when the nominating post doesn't contain the link.
It takes me about two minutes flat to get completely lost in here and I've only ever found what I was looking for by accident. And I'm not thick, honest ;-)Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I appreciate when you are new to the forums that its difficult to find your way round. You only have to ask though (as you did) and people will be willing to point you in the right direction“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Have a browse through Sra's thread here on The Site A-Z which gives lots of useful tips on using the forums but I have to agree with you that the search function can be very difficult to use
One of the easiest ways to find posts by a particular poster is to click on the user's name and a drop down menu will appear giving you the option to read other posts made by that user.

True - but for a thread or a post specifically mentioned in the newsletter, such as the winning post for the month, I shouldn't _have_ to ask "where the ^&* is it?" I should be able to find it relatively easily.
Anyway, I've seen it, thank you, and it's a fascinating thread, but the only way I can navigate back to it to continue reading is to come through these posts. I can't pick out, in the various headers there, quite where I _am_ on the site and so have no idea how to get back there by a more direct route.
I shall be wandering off to the A-Z shortly - again navigating via this thread, and hope that things may become a little clearer... I may be gone some time...
