I would like to nominate Tiff for the grocery challenge threads. I feel that her idea has sparked a really good discussion around the principles that Martin promotes. It's not about cutting back, it's about getting th best for your money. This in turn helps people cut back/save money.

Thank Tiff - I find you inspiring!!!

I second the nomination for debt_free_chick. She is truly the most knowledgable, helpful and kind person on the debt boards. She is harsh, but fair and has helped so many people with their debts it is untrue.

Caverncity for Sonic Toothbrush plus freebie on the Quick!Grabbit board - now Gone, and it was fantastic!
  • I nominate Tiff also (for the grocery challenge)

This post has inspired me to actually consider how much I am spending on groceries. Saved loads since actually planning and thinking about it rather than just buying!

Still trying to cut it down further though!

    Thanks!

My vote goes to sra555 this month for the Firefox V IE thread, which includes the RSS feed post mentioned earlier.

sra555 has a wonderful way of explaining things, is never condecending and is patience personified with some of us. We have to feel safe to be able to use this site at all and sra555 has made major contributions to that.

    Thank you sra.:A

I would like to nominate new member Lush Walrus for the reply to my query on how to start off the planning process for our new extension:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=36711

Lush joined the forums in order to answer my question. As an architect, he/she provides detailed advice on the process, good ways to save time and money and some of the pitfalls. I feel a lot more informed now - this post could form the basis of an MSE guide to planning a home development. Thanks to Lush for his/her time and effort!
