Hey guys, quick question which I'm sure you'll be able to help me with...
I'm having my oven cleaned shortly and plan to buy some new oven trays as the ones we have are really past it.
For the past while I've bought the cheap non-stick ones from £ shops and just replaced them when they've got really bad and past cleaning (I do wash them after use too but eventually they just don't come up well)
I'm now wondering whether this is a false economy and if I'd be better investing in some more expensive trays (not pro chef, just some from TK Maxx or somewhere) which are more robust, or whether to stick with the cheaper more disposable ones?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Just my opinion but I would say go for a heavy weight enamald (sp) type. I have had mine for years, think I bought from Wil*kies. I clean mine with wire wool and it comes up like new.

There's a really good selection at Robert Dyas if you have one near you(i think they have an online shop) They are really good quality and mine still look like new. They often have BOGOF's on them as well.

Yay to Saver!! Foil is your friend. I buy the economy rolls of the stuff (60p mostly, although last summer it was as low as 40p a roll!!) and cover all my cooking trays in it.
Come washing up time I just peel off the foil and chuck it in the bin. Tray is as good as new. I save a fortune in scourers0 -
Lakeland trays are good, they won't be cheap but they are value for money.
Also, compare prices with Pampared Chef. I have one of their oven trays and its very good. Dosn't warp like the cheaper ones do.0 -
I am another lover of the enamel roasters and trays from Wilkinson's I have had mine for 6 years and they are as good as the day that I bought them.
