Anyway if my experience is anything to go by you'll be faffed around for a few days and then be sent home having got nowhere near a Jury. Don't worry it'll work itself out.
You've got work tomorrow go to bed!0 -

i dont see why there is so much sour grapes here i am not trying top get out of work or jury duty just fail to see why you think i should be on jury service all week and work weekends, had i been working mon - fri i would have weekend off, so you think i should be penalised cause i work weekends, also if not selected i will be back at work and claiming no work expenses even if having attended court for 5 days.0

There is no sour grapes here. Many people work 7 days or more in a row. I have done so often, it's not such a big deal.0

Can my employee continue to work night shifts or weekends? It is important that jurors are sufficiently fit and alert in order to carry out their important publicfrom either jury service or their job for seven days.
duty. Therefore, we would recommend that they should not be made to work night shifts
before they are due in court, or work weekends if this means that they do not have a break
This is the main point, it does only say recommend rather than compulsory.
Can I suggest you phone ACAS before going to your employer and see what they say.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
