childcare is not a problem oldest son is in 5th year so prob have to force him to watch little brother with a money bribe as hubby will be working.0

If you want a way out then this would be it. You couldn't possibly leave the youngster to babysit the other hes not at all responsible yada yada....If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Just suck it up, chances are you won't be called anyways and if you are, the liklihood is it'll be some shoplifting charge where he'll plead guilty at the last minute - so the probability of you being at work & jury duty 9 days on the spin are fairly slim.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

thanks for replies have found out that court does not expect jurors to be at court and work for more than 7 days therefore if this is the case employers must provide time off.0

If you pre arrange the time off unpaid and don't get called are you expecting the emloyer to give you work?0 -
My husband recently did jury service and his case last 8wks... but he didn't mind at all in fact he said he'd go again tomorrow...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
