Nope
They've recently changed most boroughs to a 6 day rota, 2 earlies/ 2 lates/ 2 nights then 4 off
I should know, as i'm doing it :rotfl:
There is mention of the shifts for the olympics being 8 hour days with compulsory 4 hours a day overtime (if actually doing olympic stuff) and then "trying" to give us a day off each week0 -

I cannot believe it is a five page thread . It is a one off. Jury service has to be done and OP works weekends, when the courts do not.0 -

...and the info you get sent in your jury service pack states that if you are working weekends which means that you will be in court all week and then work at the weekend then you do not have to do this. They want you fully alert and awake for this cases not exhausted because youve been doing 7 days solid. The jury service comes as a priority. On one of the cases that was going on their employers said that if they were on half days or had day off to go back in to work the court has said not to and if this is a problem the employer can take it up with them. The employer can be prosicuted if they treat you unfairly due to jury service. Glad ive got decent employers that dont make things more difficult than they have to be.
OP When you get your jury pack sent to you in next few weeks just take that in to your employer..It is all there in black and white..you wont have to work the weekend as the days jury service will be classed as your working days instead!!:)0
