  • Why do things like this always seem to happen at christmas? At least let the employees enjoy the festive period before screwing up their lives.

To be honest the news didn't come as a great shock - the last few times I've been in my local OM the staff morale has been really low, and the whole time you're in the waiting area they are just phoning people up trying to get customers.

Really sad because during the photoshoots the photographers have been superb and we've had some really fantasic pictures of our little ones.

The staff at the Preston store were wonderful today! They had been told to just put up a notice and then lock up and leave.

Instead of doing this they stayed there for the whole day knowing full well they wouldnt get paid for it, and they then rang everyone who had photos at the studio waiting for collection and told then to collect them today or never.

Thanks to them I got my photographs!

My kids used to love going for their photo taken there and the results I have had for the last couple of years have been really great!

I wish the staff the best of luck!!

what a great bunch of staff. its lovely to see that some people still care:T , so just a big thank you to those staff that did such a thoughtful thing

    xx

That is such a nice thing for them to do and I hope they don't get in trouble with the administrators for it.

Benson - your attitude comes across as very selfish. Please give some thought to the people who have lost their jobs and paid deposits that they may not get back.

The Preston store is my local. I know a few of the staff. What a shame, and just before Xmas as well :(
  • Thanks for the info I had bought a plan in November and had phoned them on Thursday to arrange a shoot for next week I was not looking forward to it as the car parks are rammed but really wanted a nice pic of me and the twins.....
  • Thanks for the info - just passed this onto my sister-in-law who is waiting for prints and has a sitting arranged for tomorrow!!!

Many thanks for the heads up OP
  • I have a friend who worked for them P/T. He is as gutted as like the customers who have lost out (myself included).
He and like other former employees are out of pocket, him to the tune of near £800 which was mainly down to xmas bonuses.
He has already been threatened in the studio for a £26 order, ironic really, some people always try and target those whose fault it isnt - easy target. The blame should be directed at those whose profit margins have reduced and they decide to call it a day - without honouring wages or customer orders.
On a final note I would like to ask those who have lost out that it isnt a staff fault and everyone is a loser in any kind of liquidation.
Just hope they can find alternative jobs soon.

I wonder if Tesco's & Argos will be giving vouchers to the people that lost out like the Fairpak lot, I bet they don't.
