That was your first mistake, thinking 2 months was too quick ;) I wanted 12/12/12 but OH now says it is too soon, he is right tho we dont have money even for the smallest wedding at the moment. Too much needed doing on the house, so we could live together ;)

It really was! We had already picked out the venue (Goodwood racecourse!) by then so you know the rest would have fallen into place... :rotfl:

We have so many thoughts like going to South Africa to be married (his best friend lives there and it's half dutch half english so perfect!) Then getting married in Holland, like in the castle or the village church then getting married in my home town at the church where my whole family are married.. (not at the same time lol) which is like half CofE and half Catholic so perfect!

    Decisions Decisions....

but he is gonna look at that ring :j xxx

Ohhh all the rings people keep posting are so beautiful! It's making me very depressed. OH keeps joking that our Valentine's break is going to the Travel Lodge 5 mins up the road. I remain unimpressed.

Aww I hope he does make his move in Feb and not August honey :)

I had to email my best friends (new ) husband to remind him it was valentines day coming up because he is a massive tightwad and wasn't going to do anything.... nothing.... their first valentines day married and he had nothing planned... She was pretty upset so I told him that she would be mega disappointed if he didn't do anything for valentines day so he's taking her out for a meal :T She doesn't know I kicked him up the backside lol! xxx

Aww rdchick what a good friend you are! Men just have no idea sometimes, bless them. So...as we are all wonderful lovely girlfriends who are definitely definitely definitely marriage material, what nice things are we doing for our OHs for Valentine's day this year? :)

At least you're getting a valentine's break! I'm buying us an M&S dinner to eat on sofa in front of the telly! I can only dream of a travelodge... :rotfl:

Can't complain too much though, we are going away to Italy for our anniversary in May. My idea, my organisation, my money though - so I guess it'll be as romantic as I make it!

M&S dinner in front of the telly sounds just lovely to me! Well as we're going away (wherever it ends up being) on Sunday, tomorrow I am cooking a really romantic meal in the evening. We'll have a lazy morning and then after lunch he has to go into his study and shut the door and he can spend the afternoon playing guitar while I cook, do all the candles and decorations and stuff and get everything ready. I just haven't decided on my outfit...not sure whether to go for classy dress...or slutty nighty!

Lol my OH was laughing because our friend asked me a woman's opinion on what he should get for his OH's birthday (shes also our friend) and I said 'something expensive or take her on holiday!' - its their first year together and he earns absolutely loads more than she does. He ended up taking her for a weeks holiday! I was like - she owes me one now!!!
