My OH mentioned moving in together on our second date, which is when he found out I will not live with anyone unless I am married to them. Not sure he believed me at first, less than six months in he is talking marriage, I am terrified!!

For a little light relief... at least none of them men in this thread are likely to be buying a 'pack' of 12 engagement rings!!

    http://www.littlewoods.com/engagement-rings/694433085.prd?aff=awin&affsrc=47868&cm_mmc=awin-_-47868-_-Communities+%26+UGC-_-0_0&awc=3089_1326125941_a4f2ddce424128daf7caf88dc03ff1d0

Lol, just clicked on it and the product is out of stock!! Haha :-) Wonder which lucky lady will get one of those!!

Is it bad that I tried on a potential wedding dress today!!
I was out shopping and I saw the most lovely dress - it was like a creamy/pinky colour, quite chiffony and in a vintage style that I really like (have tried to find a link but cant) - it was only £25.00!!
PS. It was in H&M not a wedding dress shop in case you're all getting a bit worried about my sanity!! :rotfl:

I thought if it looked really nice on, I'd buy it and then hide it at the back of the wardrobe until the needs arised (if the need didnt arise, i could have warn it for the Christmas party, lol!).
As it turned out it didnt look great on, which I was gutted about as I just loved it when I saw it - least I know what sort of thing I am looking for when the time comes!!! :D

Just as wrong as me finding my dream wedding dress on ebay (low back) and really wanting to bid on it! Only went for £50 too - gutted!!

Shame it didn't look nice. Is it online? I would love to have a look x

I've been onto the H&M website but it's not on there but I've found some other pics...
This was the style of the dress...

This was the colour of it...

Actually made me think that I should start looking a bit closer at dresses in that way - as our wedding would be a very low budget one (clothing & accessory wise) I could do with finding a bargain like that, and you just known I'd never been able to find one when the time came...

Which incidentally may not be long now!!!!!! My OH has noticed my frustrations lately and in bed last night had a little chat with me....
He told me that he will ask me soon :j:j - he just wasnt sure how to do it.
I told him it didnt matter where, I just needed to be asked (first time I've ever actually said that to him!) and he said it was good that he now knew that. He said that he doesnt just want to ask in a way that's not that special but I told him it doesnt need to be over the top, so I think he'll plan a nice meal or a day out or something.... He also asked whether he should buy a ring pr whether or not we should choose together and I said well, the question is more important but I would like to wear a ring once we're engaged. He said I could send him some pictures of some rings that I liked so he had an idea of what to get.... !!! :j:j

I think the thing that clinched it is that we are also trying for a baby (I dont know whether I have alread told you guys that) but I told OH that I didnt really want to have a child until we were married (that wasnt a bribe lol, I really am quite traditional in that way and I know once we have a baby, the wedding will get forgotten about) and as he wants babies really soon (like now..) he knows he better get a move on!!!

I'm just browsing rings now (although I already have one saved in my favourites folder - sad - in case this moment ever came!!) :rotfl:

  • I sent OH an email last night with 3 or 4 links to rings that I liked and a ring sizer! Lol I asked him not to look at the email when I'm there as I think he'd like to make the decision on his own...
Kind of felt sick sending it as then I thought what if he was joking about sending pics... oh well done now and this way, ill at least get something I like!
I still have a feeling ill be waiting here by Summer but I'm a bit more relaxed about it now! :D

Its quite simple, if he hasnt asked you then he doesnt want to get married...at this stage anyway. Realise men are not like women in relation to marriage wants!

I feel a bit glum today which sucks because I felt like I was doing ok.

I met my best friend last night for dinner and was talking to her about what had been going on and she made me feel like I was ungrateful, that I should be happy just that we were together and that I had someone who loved me. I know she would be mortified if she felt like she had upset me but she asked me why it was so important and why it made a difference and I felt like I couldn't really explain why.

    :(
