Waiting for a proposal - how did you stay sane?!

Thats sounds like the perfect time to land
Lol. Get familiar with the dive centre on your first day ready to go diving on Day 2.
And I agree with everything you say about diving - the feeling really is indescribable. The best I can say is how peaceful I feel under water. (But then I have always found water comforting - even swimming in a local council run pool used to capture me - lol that was before I discovered the world of diving).
Lol we should create a new thread - Brides Who Dive.0 -
Only read a few of these posts but the OP might like to know, if she does not already, it's a leap year this year (my boyfriend is silently freaking out, lol)0

Now I suppose that is positive but why is he waiting? & why did he let me look at rings a whole year before he was planning it!?.:(I showed OH all my dive kit yesterday and he did well and showed some interest!

Would you not dive here in UK. I have friends who dive just off north coast all year round, not quite the same but might make the time pass a big quicker?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

Over to you then MrsD!!Would you not dive here in UK. I have friends who dive just off north coast all year round, not quite the same but might make the time pass a big quicker?
I'm a bit of a fair weather diver :rotfl:. When I first learnt to dive in Egypt I had a major panic attack and part of the problem was my wetsuit being so tight around my chest, I'm fairly large up top and it was squishing my boobs so much I felt like I couldn't take a proper breath so I ended up diving without it (good job I have a decent layer of blubber to keep me warm!). In the Maldives I dived without a wetsuit entirely as the water is so warm. I have spoken to my local dive centre about doing my drysuit course and I might later this year, they are just so expensive to hire/buy.
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Do you think he maybe needed to save for the ring? That would make sense, especially with him mentioning he plans to propose kn April.
Thanks for the response-we aren't rich but he has a good job. When we met he spent every penny he earnt which was a big disposable income but when we met and he saw I saved he started and I know he has more than enough for a ring so it's definitely not that. I think he is stubborn and wants to do it when he wants to do it and that is that and made a mistake when he let me look at rings so early. Either that or he is just a big s#d!;)Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.0 -
For a little light relief... at least none of them men in this thread are likely to be buying a 'pack' of 12 engagement rings!!

Hehe that made me giggle. :rotfl:
Had a moment this weekend. OH said "It'll be like I'm your house husband...except I'm not your husband." Cheers, yeah I know that!
Also, despite the fact he was asking about wedding stuff when we watched Jedward Celebrity Wedding Planner (pure genius btw lol!)...he decided to randomly come out and say "you know just because I asked doesn't mean I'm thinking any time soon..."
Grrrrrrr! :eek:0 -
