wedding...and findingyourownway, I'm quite interested in yours in particularly as you have a short timescale which is what I would like for mine, once I get round to that stage!!!

    :T

I'm so glad your OH was a good 'un yesterday Squirrel, its nice to remember why we love them and not get too caught up in other things.

We've booked a venue for August 2012 after getting engaged in December. Quite a fast turn around but both of us just want to be married now, the idea of waiting until 2013 does not appeal at all!

We have made basic plans - booked venue and registrar. Have a pretty complete guest list (65 day, 100 night) and done STD cards to the day people as its peak holiday season. Apart from that we haven't done anything so dress, flowers blah blah all still to do. I figure wedding planning is one of those things which expands to fill the time you have available, so not too worried (yet!)

Following on from that, as it was our last day before work I wanted to go out and do something (as it was a lovely sunny day) but OH was in a rubbish mood, being a miserable b***er and was just lounging on the sofa being lazy - I got so fed up of him faffing about that I decided to take myself off for a run - to start the new year fitness regime and just to get out the house!! :-)

Had only got round the corner from our house when I tried to manoevre round a tree that had falled down from last weeks high winds when I slipped and fell on some wet grass and smashed face first into the said tree! Just about had enough consciousness to phone OH, who whizzed around the corner in his car and whisked me off to A&E like a knight in shining armour!!

So I now have a hugely swollen nose - the hospital dont know if its broken yet, they cant tell until the swelling goes down properly, have to go back in a few days!! I think its probably okay to be honest but it doesnt look pretty I can tell you!!

OMG you poor thing!! I hope that you are not in too much pain, I can't even imagine the amount of pain that you must have been in! How lovely of your OH to treat you like such a princess, such a good man :D

I really hope that you recover quickly x

well what an odd day I had yesterday...
I think I must have been affected by your thread jtr, as I had a really vivid dream about my OH mentioning the word fiancee, and I said 'oh so does that mean we are engaged now then' and he said 'well i assumed we already were'!! I then asked if I could update it on facebook (ha!) so I changed my status, and then I got really upset as not one of my friends commented on it like it didnt matter!! Very random!!

I was so peed off with OH earlier in the day but he was so amazing yesterday that I realised just how much I actually love the man!!! Seeing his face when I was injured and he had to rush me to A&E I could see how upset he was, he let me cry on him when I was in so much pain in the hospital and then he came in to hold my hand when the doc took me in! Once everything was okay and we'd come home, he just couldnt do enough for me!

I've had to take today off work but he was so snuggly with me this morning before he left for work that I almost cried when he went!!

I think I've let this proposal thing overwhelm me lately, thinking that he's not that bothered about me but after yesterday, he's totally forgiven as I can see how much he does actually love me - even with my face looking the way it does!!

Ooooh hun that sounds painful :o. Really pleased to hear that your OH looked after you and came to your rescue, I hope all the bruising goes down soon! xx

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I am just being daft. It is yet another proposal but this one really bothered me and can't really explain just in case it gives me away. I have had a dodgy stomach for 2 days too which apart from helping me lose weight from xmas is starting to exhaust me now.

    Thanks JTR xx

aw I hope its not us on here:o:(

It is absolutely horrid when someone breaks their 'good' news. It was always a time when I became so critical of my relationship and OH.

We are all with you on here and you can vent all you like with likeminded people:j

No not anyone on here. I love it when people on this board get engaged :D

It's just this girl once told me I should be more patient and that I expected far too much too soon - this wasn't even about wanting to be married and she has been with a guy 9 months, now living with him and I found out today that she is marrying him very soon!

So sorry for bring everyone down, really didn't mean too
