Me, and my birthday came and went got totally spoiled which was wonderful, but no sparkly.

Beginning to wonder if marriage just isn't "him".

There's always the chance he didn't do it on your birthday so it could be celebrated as "just" your birthday.
Do you have a significant date or something coming up anytime soon like the anniversary of when you met?

Sadly not Fraggle I think I'm just feeling generally down and rubbish at the moment and it's sort of consolidated into worry about this.

I will be my normal perky self soon

I had my birthday, Christmas and the anniversary of when we met all within 6 weeks, and despite the fact that we had already discussed seriously getting married 9 months later, there was no proposals. Not even another 6 weeks later for Valentines day, and 7 months to supposed wedding date!

In the end, it happened when we were celebrating nothing... because he wanted that date to be special and not mixed with another. Actually from his perspective, it would have been a bad thing to do it on a special occasion, so don't hang on to these dates, he might surprise you totally out of the blue.

Does anyone have a sort of 'deadline' where they will no longer wait? Or are you just happy to hang on in there. I have a sort of timeframe in mind, where I dont think I will wait any longer. I know if I pressure my OH he would ask - BUT- if he's not ready, he's not ready and I dont want a 'forced' proposal. At the same time I cant wait forever. .

I'd love it if my OH wanted to surprise me like that! :T. I like the idea of another special date!

He mentioned a few weeks back he had though about proposing but wanted to wait - in my dreams that would be to throw me off so he could surprise me. However I need to face reality .
